My Acti-Huddle Report Card - MARCHING ON TOGETHER (Through 20 minutes of Injury Time!)
What a game on Friday night! Breathless drama from start to finish as our never say die attitude paid dividends despite 4 injuries and substitutions!
And seriously, has anyone every seen a total of 20minutes of official injury time, genuinely casued by injuries as opposed to some external influence? 12 in the first half (their second goal was scored on 45+11!) and 8 minutes in the second. No complaints from me, I hoped the game would go on all night such was my enjoyment.
A solid 3 points in the bank and Everton, Burnley, Watford and Brentford will be feeling the pressure as we hit form and points going into the international break!
I screen-shot this from Thai TV so no proper source. Sorry. Not sorry!
I might have been a little harsh over Jesse's skinny stone washed jeans and also a little derisive about the post match huddle but results matter and along with the win over Norwich, this win against 7th placed Wolves might just turn our season with only 8 games remaining.
I do feel sorry for Bamford. World Cup year and he can't get a break with injuries. Marcelo was right about waiting until a player is 100% as has been shown in Pat's case, it's difficult to fight if you keep aggregating an injury that hasn't healed fully. He left the field in tears and in another show of T.E.A.M, Cooper and the injured Meslier were there to comfort and console him and shield his emotion from the cameras and they kept hugging until he started smiling again after we got the first goal back.
I do hope he gets back before the end of the season and scores a few and then follows that up with a solid start to the next season and gives himself a chance. The 2022 world cup in Qatar doesn't start while November I believe.
I'm very happy for Rodrigo right now. Two goals in two games, after a bit of stick from the fans since he arrived has done the team wonders and his confidence wonders too.

This is what it means to the players and the fans. Imagine Ronaldo jumping into the crowd and hugging people. Summerville looks like he's going to eat that bloke! These are players playing for the love and passion of the team. When fans see this sort of passion, results become almost unimportant
I'm really rooting for him as he totally gets the club and the city and his diving into the crowd after scoring can only endear himself more with crowd and show them he is one of us.
The other thing to note was our subs and coaching staff. After the winner went in, Everyone was on the field celebrating. What wasn't widely reported was that Kalvin and Cooper both got yellow cards for going onto the pitch to join the celebrations which isn't allowed. Kalvin will be back in the team next time out, the fact he could sprint across the field to join his team-mates suggests he's fit and injury free once more! The rest of the subs all ran away when they saw the referee start handing out yellows!
I genuinely can't remember a crazier, no holds barred, topsy-turvy game as that in 50 years of watching football. Incredible night and well worth the 3am kick-off for me although I've been suffering all weekend for it! A real advert for why the Premier League is the best in the world, especially when you remove the boring big six out of the equation.
Into the 2 week break then and as for our last game, no one won making it an even better Friday for me !
We'll be playing again when the Premier League continues at the beginning of April.
Thanks as always for all the support and engagement I'm honoured to get here and I wish you all a great week :-)
