World Cup - Another match won for Argentina and progress towards the round of 16. / Otro partido ganado para Argentina y avance hacia octavos de final. 😀❤️

I don't know if this is something that will happen in all countries, but at least here in Argentina we are trying to treat every day of the national team's soccer matches as holidays. Well, not so much as a holiday, but nobody wants to do anything while the game is going on. In most jobs there are televisions to watch it, or some, like me, get the day off from work. The madness over this is total, but at least we are having a good time, as long as Argentina wins 😅.

No sé si esto es algo que pasará en todos los países pero al menos acá en Argentina estamos pretendiendo que todos los días de partido de futbol de la selección sean tratados como feriados. Bueno, no tanto como feriado, pero nadie quiere hacer nada mientras se esté disputando el partido. En la mayoría de los trabajos hay televisores para verlo, o a algunos, como a mi, nos dan el día libre en el trabajo. La demencia por esto es total, pero al menos estamos teniendo un buen momento, siempre y cuando Argentina gane 😅.

Yesterday the match between Poland and Argentina was played and it was a strange day in terms of weather. Bad weather was announced in the forecast, we knew it was going to rain but not exactly at what time. At my house the storm started 20 minutes before 4PM, game time, and it wasn't just any storm, it was one of those scary ones with thunder, wind and even hail. As usual around here, we were all afraid that the power would go out and we would miss the game, but luckily it didn't happen.

Ayer se disputó el partido entre Polonia y Argentina y fue un día raro en cuanto al clima. El mal tiempo estaba anunciado en el pronóstico, sabíamos que iba a llover pero no exactamente a que hora. Por mi casa la tormenta empezó 20 minutos antes de las 4PM, hora del partido, y no fue cualquier tormenta, fue una de esas que dan miedo con truenos, viento e incluso granizo. Como es habitual por acá, todos teníamos miedo que se corte la luz y nos perdamos el juego, pero por suerte no sucedió.

As the sky fell outside, we were all engrossed in the match. The Argentina team had the pressure of having to win because it was quite complicated after their bad first game. In the first half, a penalty was awarded in our favor, which was executed by Messi but he could not specify. Everyone recognized that the goalkeeper from Poland is very good.

Another thing that is given a lot of importance around here is the "cabala", or lucky situations that have to be repeated in order to have successful matches. Since drinking "mate" didn't work in the first game, now the absolute cabal is drinking beer. And of course that's what I was doing, while giving myself a horrible manicure 😅.

Mientras el cielo se caía afuera, todos estábamos entretenidos con el partido. El equipo de Argentina tenía la presión de tener que ganar porque estaba bastante complicada después de su mal primer partido. En el primer tiempo se cobró un penal a favor nuestro, el cual fue ejecutado por Messi pero que no pudo concretar. Todos reconocieron que el arquero de Polonia es muy bueno.

A otra cosa que le dan mucha importancia por acá es a la "cábala", o situaciones de suerte que tienen que repetirse para tener partidos exitosos. Desde que en el primer partido tomar "mate" no funcionó, ahora la cábala absoluta es tomar cerveza. Y por supuesto eso estuve haciendo, mientras me hacía una horrible manicura a mí misma 😅.

The second half was definitely the best of all, where Argentina was finally able to score the two goals that led them to win. I think that the Polish team had almost no goal situations and only dedicated themselves to defending their goal, although they could not with the shots from Alexis Mac Allister and Julián Álvarez who were the scorers on this occasion. Everyone around here was happy, even the neighbors who made their screams and their car horns heard 😃.

Definitivamente el segundo tiempo fue el mejor de todos, en donde Argentina al fin pudo marcar los dos goles que lo llevaron a ganar. Pienso que el equipo de Polonia casi no tuvo situaciones de gol y solo de dedicaron a defender su arco, aunque no pudo con los remates de Alexis Mac Allister y Julián Álvarez quienes fueron los goleadores en esta oportunidad. Todos por acá estaban contentos, incluso los vecinos que hacían oír sus gritos y las bocinas de sus autos 😀.

Despite the fact that Poland lost on this date, they also went to the next round just like Argentina, leaving out Mexico and Saudi Arabia who were our teammates in group C. Argentina's next game will be on Saturday at 4 PM and their rival will be Australia. Of course, all the "memes" of disputes between capybaras and kangaroos and various jokes for which Internet users are very quick have already begun. I don't know where I'm going to see it this time, but one thing is for sure: the beer cabal has been working so that can't be missing 😃.

A pesar de que Polonia perdió en esta fecha, igualmente pasó a la siguiente ronda igual que Argentina, dejando afuera a México y a Arabia Saudita que fueron nuestros compañeros en el grupo C. El siguiente partido de Argentina será el sábado a las 4 PM y su rival será Australia. Por supuesto ya han empezado todos los "memes" de disputa entre los carpinchos y los canguros y diversos chistes para los que son muy rápidos los internautas. No sé en donde lo voy a ver esta vez, pero algo es seguro: la cábala de la cerveza viene funcionando así que eso no puede faltar 😃.
