My Actifit Report Card: April 25 2022
Well, a migraine’s hitting hard but I feel pretty good otherwise. My foot’s still a little messed up, but not so painful that I can’t do ordinary activity. And obviously I can still type, though I’m not sure if it’s up to my normal quality. Now I’m anxious about all the stuff from the past couple days, because I know the migraine effects start before the pain itself.
Got some client feedback so the next big thing there is just to finish some layout stuff. Then I’ll have a few moments while I wait for final stuff from him and can just focus on my own work again.
I’m excited to have Carrion Birds out. Firebird Worlds has hit some pretty good numbers, but not much income (being a PWYW 12-hour project tends to do that), but Carrion Birds will hopefully generate some revenue.
The big news of the day is Elon Musk buying Twitter.
I’m not a believer in utopia, but I do think this is a step in the right direction, if only because a lot of people are going mask-off against free speech. Of course, many of us knew that these people were awful about it, but it’s nice to hear them say it.
Plus, it gave me something to write about on Substack, which is nice given that I’m trying to keep up my one-post-a-week rate over there while I work on stuff for my games and books.
I was able to get quite a bit of writing done today, so I feel good even though I’m in quite a bit of pain. I’m going to post this and go to bed.
