My Actifit Report Card: March 22 2022
My health’s gone back the wrong direction, and I’m not sure why. There is the chance that lactose intolerance is the right answer and I just accidentally got some contamination on something and have the results, but it’s frustrating because I felt so good and now I don’t.
I don’t think it’s serious, but I do worry about it just because I’d rather not have to deal with mystery problems, especially because I already have enough medical bills that I’m probably going to be forced back into a job search sooner than I expected and I won’t be on my A-game while I’m looking for something that can let me pay my bills and keep up with a rising cost of living.
Of course, I don’t know. It could be fluke, one last gasp from things. I’m going to stay on the elimination diet until I see my doctor next week for a follow-up, and we’ll see if things stay better. I’m worried that the woes come with physical activity, which means that I don’t get as much physical activity and risk other health stuff as a result of that.
But it’s a bridge I can cross when I get to it. Testing tomorrow includes looking for some other potential issues, so it could be that I have on-again and off-again food allergies or something else I just haven’t considered.
But I’d like to feel like I can get out of bed in the morning and go for a walk without risking future discomfort. Worse, I know it’s mostly discomfort (though anything that makes it hard to move or sleep should be regarded as at least a little serious), but I also worry that whatever underlying cause is responsible could be doing damage for the long run.
I’ve only gotten about two thousand words written so far today, though I’m going to do a little more before I go to bed so that will increase a little.
Still working on the book on libertarianism. Law and order today. It’s a part of libertarian theory I like because it’s both strictly reactionary from a legal perspective (rejecting most of the movements of Rousseau and onward regarding the roles of justice) but also incredibly optimistic in the sense that you could actually make the world a lot better by shifting toward a libertarian social order.
