Una Anett que logró meterse en la final, tras vencer a la ya mencionada Krejcikova y a la griega María Sakari; por su parte Garbiñe también perdió en la apertura con la otra estrella checa Karolina Pliskova, pero luego retomó el control y superó a su compañera de equipo Paula Badosa, demostrando una combinación de agresividad, dominio y mentalidad ganadora. Estas herramientas le han valido para desbordar a sus rivales, todas de gran calidad y nivel tenístico durante esta temporada.
