In just a couple of hours from now, we will witness the most famous rivalry in football. Watched by many, commentated by a lot, and is one of the most entertaining matchups football as to offer. The Supercopa trophy is at stake, the Catalans will be fighting against the La Liga, Club World Cup, and UEFA Champions League defending champions, the Madridistas.

To be very honest, the hype of El Clasico will not be the same anymore than we have witnessed in 2009-2018. You know exactly how El Clasico has always been the most anticipated matchups in the world. It is a battle of pride and a battle of the best teams in the World, conquering more than 60% of the Champions League trophies won in the last 15 years.

Yes, we won't witness the heated rivalry of Messi and Ronaldo, the battle of midfield, and battle of the *best defenders in the world because right now, these teams are no longer feared and can be beaten. Barcelona in the recent years has been very vulnerable to losses, while Real Madrid is currently not on form to be comfortable in defending their crowns. But allow me to share interesting keypoints to victories:

Kounde & Araujo Must Start

I like Christensen's defending and distribution, but his physicality makes me worry. Remember Real Madrid carries two young talented Brazilians, speedy, and agile - Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr. These players can exhaust defenders and that's exactly the reason why Kounde and Araujo must start. They have the speed, physicality, and overall presence to defend. Not to mention Karim Benzema will likely to headline the attack. They need defenders who won't back down in defending.

Jules Kounde is an amazing central defender they got from Sevilla and I believe he's one of the best signings so far for Barcelona. He's a great replacement for Gerard Pique, who, for me, should have been gone since 2017. Araujo has become a beast for Barcelona defense and I'm glad to see him fighting for the club once again. He is delivering the best defender performances so far for the Catalans.

Benzema Needs Rodrygo and Vinicius

In order for Benzema to deliver the goals Real Madrid needs, Rodrygo and Vinicius have to perform their usual tasks. We both know they are talented forwards (left and right) from Brazil and Karim Benzema needs his services. Oftentimes, most of the goals of Karim came from both Brazilians. They penetrate inside the box and lure atleast two defenders before chipping in for him. That has always been the defining moment for Karim aside from taking the penalties.

I believe they are a vital ingredient for Real Madrid to win. They need to break down the defense of Jordi Alba and Balde/Roberto on both flanks. Otherwise, they will mostly rely on midfield which will then be spoonfed by Modric and Valverde. Tchouameni's role is to distribute the ball with space and ensuring pressure is eliminated.

Pedri and Gavi has to Use their "Age Advantage"

We know that Pedri and Gavi are two of the foundation of Barcelona in the future. They have established themselves as regular starters despite having a very young age. They are known for their excellent ball handling and passing skills. Pedri on the other hand has a vision that most of the people are familiar with - Andres Iniesta.

But these qualities are given. My only hope is that Gavi and Pedri will need to use their age advantage - the hunger for ball, speed, endurance, and unpredictability. Their age are a great advantage among Real Madrid midfielders, especially that Luka Modric is nearing his retirement age. If both gentleman can capitalize that, I think they will likely get a good midfield position in their match.

A Change for Lewandowski to Prove

Lewandowski has to face the fangs of Eder Militao, Nacho, Antonio Rudiger, and David Alaba, which ever of them will be used. These defenders have proven to be quality ones and Lewandowski has to endure them for 90 minutes. I personally think Lewandowski can handle the pressure, he just needs to assists he needs to score. This is the reason why I these people are needed:

Dembele, Raphinha, Jordi Alba, and Balde's Assist

These people are most likely to deliver the assist or pass Lewandowski needs. Wingers Ousmane Dembele and Raphinha needs to be as elusive as possible. The speed and dribbling ability these players have are exceptional and they have to use that as an asset.

Jordi Alba and Balde will be crucial in delivering the assists needed too. Not only that, they have to endure their fitness in defending Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr. Alba has been very familiar with Real Madrid and he's experience will likely be needed.
