Happy new year everyone!

Been wanting to write this post for a few days now but I really needed some rest so took some time off from my online "responsibilities" to spent the holidays with family and friends! And had a great time! Lots of skateboarding, partying and love!

Now I'm back, fully recharged and packed with new goals and milestones for 2025! But before I talk about my future plans I wanna share with you my 2024 recap to get some things out of me! Feels good to write shit down from time to time, you should try it if you haven't! Let's jump straight into it!

Skateboarding

2024 was DOPE in terms of skateboarding! I travelled a lot while filming for Synopsis a skateboarding film supported by @Gnars, skated tons of new street spots and stacked a lot of sweet footage! Couldn't have been any better! My only regret was not skating a lot during summer but I've made up for it these past 4 months! Skating almost every single fucking day hehe!

I am also sitting on lots of GB of phone footage so I decided to make this short compilation of my favourite phone clips for 2024! Have fun watching fam!

Work

2024 was probably the toughest year ever in terms of work but I am super thankful for the opportunities I was given and what I have achieved! I am currently working as a Social Media Manager at DAOBase, an AI-driven data and infrastructure platform for DAOs, and this was our year! We kept hitting milestone after milestone, and I ain't joking!

We successfuly launched:

• Platform Points System (700k+ users earning points daily)
• DAO BadgeX (400k+ Mints)
• Buzz' Bees NFTs (Collection sold out in less than 48h)
• Grew our X account from 4k to 55k followers
• and more...

This success comes at a price, and the price was lots of work. This resulted in me not having enough time to focus in building Skatehive, but that's ok cause the Skatehive homies took the wheel and they did some CRAZY STUFF! 2024 was the year of Skatehive!

Skatehive

I can't stop thinking what Skatehive was in 2023 and what Skatehive is now! Thanks to @xvlad, @web-gnar, @mengao, @r4topunk, @titovieira and the rest of the dev team (yeap, we have dedicated devs now <3) we now have our very own website, the Skatehive.app!

This is like a dream come true for us, as we now have a skateboarding-only front-end powered by Hive blockchain! No more complex sign-ups and tutorials on how to post in Skatehive community using different Hive front-ends! Simply create your account via Skatehive.app and start posting!

I invite you to come take a look at Skatehive.app feed and see how fun and diverse things are over there!

Aside from our app, we've also achieved many more milestones like:

• Onboarding lots of new users
• Growing our community treasury
• Launched Skatehive Witness
• Powering up our community account (@skatehive) with thousands of Hive
• Distributing tens of thousands of dollars worth of Hive tokens to our community
• Presented Skatehive.app at Hivefest 2024
• Supported lots of IRL initiatives and contests with treasury money
• Launched Nounish Skatehive NFT collection
  ...and many more!

Not bad for a bunch of skateboarders experimenting with blockchain tech right? Haha!

At this point I wanna thank the Hive community for supporting Skatehive with their votes, delegations and witness votes! This means a lot guys, thanks a TON! We'll keep shipping cool stuff, onboarding users to Hive and stay true to our mission of bringing the skateboarding community onchain!

Life

2024 was a year mixed with both good and bad moments, but I'll start with the good ones! I travelled to new places, made new friends, spent a great summer chilling at a beach house, I'm in a healthy relationship and I'm feeling really proud of myself and what I have achieved this past year!

On the bad side, I lost 2 of my most favourite souls this year, my grandpa and my doggy! Grandpa passed away early 2024 at the age of 97 (yeap, legend) and my doggie Biggie on November 16 at the age of 12! Missing both of 'em a lot, but that's life! Both lived a long and dope life! RIP Legends!

My Plans for 2025

I'm a simple man so I'll keep it simple! My goals for 2025 are to skate A LOT, be a great partner to my wife, hone my work skills and BUILD SKATEHIVE!

How am I gonna do this? I don't really know, but I didn't know what I was doing in 2024 and it really worked out well hehe! I guess I'll just keep going with the flow, be kind and stay alert for opportunities! Skate style haha!
