At Wimbledon, the third grand slam tennis event of the year, Novak Djokovic defeated Nick Kyrgios 3-1 to win the men's singles cup. In the fifth game, world number 40 Kyrgios, who had gotten the match underway immediately with his powerful serves, broke Djokovic's serve, making the score 3-2. The 27-year-old tennis player won the opening set 6-4 by making good use of this lead in the remaining game and forcing his opponent to concede that he had the better serve.

Kyrgios' service was broken by Djokovic, who then seized a 3-1 lead after his rhythm faltered in the fourth game. The 35-year-old tennis player won this portion despite his opponent breaking the service 4 times, and won the second set 6-3 to tie the match at 1-1. He had been behind 40-0 in the ninth game.

In the heated third set, Kyrgios struggled to control his nerves and got into disagreements with the crowd. As a result, he lost the serving game because of his double errors and his inability to focus. Djokovic took full use of this advantage, using his excellent backhand hits to win the set 6-4 and extend his lead 2-1.

After a 6-6 deadlock, the fourth set was decided by a tie-break in which both tennis players concentrated on serving points without taking a chance. Djokovic surpassed his opponent 7-3 during the lengthy rallies in this part of the match, using his experience to win the set 7-6 and the contest 3-1.

Despite having twice as many ace hits as his opponent during the entire match, Kyrgios lost despite making 33 uncomplicated mistakes. While playing, Djokovic, on the other side, only committed 17 straightforward errors. The trophy was enjoyed by Djokovic for the seventh time in the competition. He has won the last four Wimbledons.

The Serbian player earned his 21st grand slam trophy, surpassing Swiss Roger Federer's previous record of 20 victories in men's singles. He also moved one step closer to Rafael Nadal, the current leader in this category, who currently holds the record with 22 victories.

The most significant grand slam rankings were attained by Nick Kyrgios, who advanced to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open in 2015 and Wimbledon in 2014 while also finishing as one of the final two tennis competitors in this competition. Kyrgios fell to his opponent for the first time despite previously beating Djokovic in both of their meetings in 2017.
Kyrgios and his temper, that might just be the reason he doesn't attain the heights his talent deserves. I hope he gets to win a grand slam soon
Kyrgios might succeed in capturing a grand slam. John McEnroe, the original bad boy of tennis, has also praised him, telling that Kyrgios is the "most skilled player I've seen in the previous 10 years."
Yeah I hope he does it soon enough
