Phone Addiction
Greetings everyone!🙌
Let me start with this experience:
On a particular Wednesday, I was down without a battery, the power bank was off, there was no electricity, no fuel in the generator, and I didn't have money to buy fuel. So I took my phone and power bank to charge at a pay-charge centre. I took them there in the afternoon with the intention of collecting them in the evening around 7:00 p.m. before they closed. That Wednesday was evening church, and I attended with the mindset of collecting my gadgets on my way back because our church closes at 6:30 p.m.
Guys, church closed by 6:35 p.m., and I got to the pay-charge centre only to find it locked. They've closed for the day.
How did I cope that night? Mehn! That was my longest night ever.

I don't know how I got to this stage of my life where my phone is one of the things that matters most to me. I've become so addicted to it that being away from it gives me headaches. I know it's bad, but I can't help it. I've been queried many times to reduce my attention to the phone, but it's obvious...I have a coconut head.
Thank God for this stage, this era. I'm not just glued to my phone for nonsense; I'm making money. So I don't care what people tell me now. Lol😄
However, there are a few circumstances that can make me stay away from the phone for sometimes, and I won't feel it. These circumstances are as follows:
- Working
I've been in a working situation where phones are to be suspended for some hours until the work is done. No matter how addicted I am to my phone, I easily cope with such working conditions where I need to give in my full attention to deliver the work maximally. Although I can still deliver any work with my full attention even when my phone is around, some of these works come with such rules and I just need to obey.
To be honest, if not for the rules of no phone in such work, I would still be glued to my phone and deliver the work perfectly. I'm not easily distracted whenever it's brain work.
Unlike some of my friends, while in school, they switch off their phones and go on with No Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or movies during the exam period.
- Football match...Nigeria Match 🇳🇬
If you're looking for someone who's 100% patriotic when it comes to Nigerian football matches, this is him @kingsleyy.
I don't know how I arrived at this stage where I can give up anything to watch a Nigerian match 😄.
Whenever Nigeria is on the pitch, I put my phone aside to get my full dose of adrenaline being dragged.
This happens to every other match that I find interesting; I can keep my phone for that period and won't feel anything.
- During church
Aside from the situations mentioned above, the few times you would reach me and can't get me on the phone are during church services, be it evening services or Sunday services.
I work as an usher on every service day in my church, and we are disciplined to stay all through the period without a phone.
Yeah, during this period, I don't feel it; I don't feel the urge to close quicky to go back to my phone. Naah!
Conclusion
If you look closely at the situations highlighted, you'll see that they're all centred on activities. Which is to say, our body can cope with any addiction if we find a way to occupy ourselves.
Thanks for reading.
Very good conclusion, it is really true that meaningful activities make us less dependent on phones.
me i teach before the proprietress and my head teacher talk and get tired but no changes my pupils even report me to there parent still no changes there is nothing in this world that can keep me far from my phone i dont even watch Nigeria playing ball no matter what am doing my phone is right beside me even in the class while am in secondary school i do take phone to school infact when i was in waec hall i have my phone with me one day the supervisor cought me with the phone but before he should reach to me he couldn't find the phone with me again he search me to my boxer but did not see anything anytime am online and anytime i will respond your chat except if am not in the mood to chat my phone is my baby girl no matter what even if there is a visitor in my room be it lady or guy he cant stop me from reaching my phone am so indebted to my phone my phone is my hand bag that is why so many people in my area called a yahoo boy because i dont go out am always in door with my phone and power bank but am not what they think am just addicted to my phone
