LIVERPOOL 4-0 BARCELONA(4-3, AGG) CHAMPIONS LEAGUE-2019
There's a reason Liverpool are tagged the kings of comebacks. The reds have a rich history of doing the impossible when it comes to this beautiful game. The most recent was in 2019, against an almighty Barcelona who thrashed the reds 3-0 far away in Spain.
On the night, it was indeed mission impossible as the reds needed to score 4 goals to qualify for the final. However Jurgen Klopp said before the match.
“It seems impossible, but it is not impossible. Let’s give it our best and if we are to fail, let’s fail in a very beautiful manner.”
With a manager like that, players would automatically want to do everything for him. He's such an inspiration!
With the absence of super stars like Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino, The home team had an uphill to task to fulfill. However Liverpool took the lead on the night courtesy of Divock Origi's finish to give the reds a tad bit of hope. Barcelona had there fair share of chances which they failed to convert.
This came back to hunt them as a second half introduction of Georginin Wijnaldum proved positive as he became Liverpool's hero of the night by bagging a double as the score was tied 3-0 on aggregate. The 3 goal lead was wiped out in 54minutes in Anfield.

At the time Barcelona where trembling, and Liverpool dominating possession. Trent Alexander Arnold came up with a moment of brilliance as he's quick thinking from a conner allowed Origi to tap from close range, meaning the reds had overturned a 3-0 deficit into a 4-0 win. The atmosphere was absolutely eruptive. This historic Liverpool have done the most impossible. Liverpool did go ahead to clinch a place in the final as well as lifting the trophy.
BARCELONA VS PARIS SAINT GERMAIN- CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2017
This is probably one of my most favourite night as i watched it happen like magic before my very own eyes. Though the victory was tagged controversial because of the circumstances surrounding the referee's decision. Nevertheless this was one hell of a match.
Barcelona headed into the second leg of this game well beaten 4-0 by a strong PSG side in France.
With all hope lost, there was little to nothing that could be done on this night. Even the most optimistic fans of the Spanish giant club would not believe that Braca would go through on the night. However the Spanish side once again proved that miracle's do still happen in football as somehow the Spanish giants fought back.

The match started with Barcelona needing to score 4 goals without conceding at all. Luiz Suarez opened the scoring chat for Barcelona in just 3minutes, Barca kept on piling pressure on the away side which proved abortive until PSG gifted an own goal to Barcelona which means it was game on for Barcelona. In the start of the second half Cavani came close to netting a goal which hit the post to the relive of the Barcelona faithfuls. In the 50th minutes Lionel Messi converted a penalty and Barcelona needed one more goal for the comeback was complete.
There Was a twist in the tale as Edinson Cavani scored an incredible volley which was the goal PSG where desperately waiting for, an away goal that has changed the direction of the game on the night making it 5-3 on aggregate. Surely PSG where going through but not so fast as Neymar scored a free kick in the 88th Minutes meaning Barcelona needed 2 more goals in 5 minutes to qualify. What happened next was insane, as at the 91st Minutes the referee gave a penalty to Barca which was converted by Neymar. Barca needed one more goal to shock the world and they did just that as Sergio Roberto scored an unbelievable goal in the 96th Minute meaning Barcelona had done something incredible on the night wining 6-1 on the night and 6-5 on aggregate.
Neymar and Sergi Reberto late win sealed a remarkable 6-1 win for the Spanish giants to scale through the next round.
La Remontada is a night that would be remembered for years to come.
LIVERPOOL 3-3 AC MILIAN -CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL 2015
Liverpool have always had a way of shocking the football world with incredible comebacks. And on this night in Istanbul it was probably one of the greatest comebacks in the football world. Known as the "Miracle of Istanbul"
It was the champions league final night between Liverpool and the legendary Ac Milan that had superstars like kaka, Maldini, Schivchenko etc . The reds where already down by 3 goals just before the start of the second half. It was pretty much over and nobody believed it was possible for Liverpool to over turn this game. Even the commentator said
“no one could live with that.”
In the second half of the game, Liverpool however came knocking on the door and in the 54th Minute Liverpool's captain Steven Gerrard scored a fantastic header via an assist courtesy of Xabi Alonso. His celebration thereafter is one to remember as he waved to the Liverpool fans to make so much noise.
This worked magic as in the 56th Minutes Vladmir Smicer scored a screamer and comeback was truly on! Miracles do happen in football. 59th Minutes into the game Gattuso fouled Steven Gerrard and it was Xabi Alonso that stepped up to convert the rebound after missing the initial spot kick. It was 3-3.
“Mission impossible has been accomplished!”
The match ended 3-3 and was taken to extra time then penalty shoot out where Liverpool's legendary goalkeeper Dudek became the hero of the day as he saved 2 spot kick to ensure Liverpool won the Champions league.
GERMANY 4-4 SWEDEN(FIFA WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS
Germany vs Sweden was played in a Fifa world cup qualifiers, with the Germans the clear favorite's to win the game. This German team was also highly tipped by football pundits to win the world cup which they eventually won. It wasn't really a surprise when Germany lead the game by 4 Nil courtesy of an Mesut Ozil master class as he scored the fourth goal for the Germans. Indeed all hope was lost, as absolutely nobody believed there was a twist to this game.
However, the Swedes inspired by Zlatan Ibrahimovic started a dramatic comeback as goals in the 62nd and 64th Minutes left a grain of hope for them to believe they could start something special. Johan Elmander of Sweden scored with 14 Minutes left to play to set the stage for an epic and dramatic comebacks of all time.
In the last Minute of the game Rasmus Elm's last scored a precious goal to secure a precious draw to silence the crowd in Olympiastadion at the end of one the biggest comebacks in football history.
That of Barcelona vs PSG in Champions League was the one that really shocked me. It was too far from reality but it happened anyways!
Exactly. It happened, football is just unbeliveable.
And that's why it's worth watching since your predictions can't be right at all times.
That is why we love the game.
I thought as much too.
Great comebacks have been seen in recent years. The comeback they made against PSG I honestly could not believe that a team that practically qualified would give up the opportunity to advance, that speaks of the lack of personality of that club.
I did not believe it myself, giving the quality in that that psg team.
Liverpool vs Milan was absolutely stunning and personally number one because of what was on the line. Alonsos penalty off the line added to the drama and my lord how good was Jerzy Dudek.
Nostalgic feelings truly. Dudek was hero that night, in fact that football match was entirely dramatic. This is the reason why we love football.
