Right? I am, however, coming up with some strategies involving either dogs wearing vests with zippered pockets to put a device in, or (as recommended on Discord) some old phones and a paint mixer :-P

Go with the dog vest. Added benefit? I don't think ANY state forbids a dog from carrying a concealed weapon.
