My Actifit Report Card: April 16 2025 - Kevin O'Leary on China
You know Kevin O'Leary from TV but he also has a YouTube channel with over 1 Million subscribers. This Shark Tank guy who is also known as Mister Wonderful lived in China for 25 years and talks about 3 unfair things that their businesses do in this video from today with over 430K views.
If a company develops a new product and contracts with a Chinese company to manufacture it, it the product does a certain volume of business then Chinese companies make a "knock off" imitation of it and sell it for less, hurting the company that developed the product originally.
If a company in China wants to sue an American company, they can do that in an American court. But the opposite is not possible.
Chinese companies can be listed on American stock exchanges and they don't follow the same rules that American companies have to follow.
Check out the first 5 minutes of this video for the details on these 3 points. After that, the video switches to what O'Leary is starting up in North Dakota having to do with energy generation. I wasn't as interested in that part but actually it sounded like a good plan!

My Activity
today was minimal. I had to push a relative around in a wheel chair as I took them to a medical appointment. I did not have my phone with me so those steps aren't in today's lackluster number.
At night I did walk with my phone on me. However it was chilly again and even with the ski jacket on, I wasn't interested in a long walk. At this point in the calendar year, it's got to be just about time to pack away the ski jacket! Heck, the community pool opens in just a few weeks.
