My Actifit Report Card: April 13 2025 - Wet Leg is Back
A few days ago I was thinking about Wet Leg. I wrote here about a few of their songs when they were new a couple years ago. I was wondering if they had new stuff and a YouTube search showed me Catch These Fists which already has over a half Million views in 2 weeks.
It sounds like their sound. They do have their own style. The music is guitar based. This one sounds slightly like Seether from Veruca Salt back in the 90s. The vocals are sung/spoken and reminds me of Iggy Pop.
The video itself if simple but weird, which is their style. There may be some inside jokes or expressions I miss but I think I get most of it. I know throwing hands and/or maybe fists means fighting so I guess the girl singer might be ready to deal aggressively with a guy who is a bit too determined to get with her.

My Activity
today was OK. I attended a birthday party for most of the day. The birthday girl liked my gift. :) I did 25 inclined pushups before I went.
At night I took a walk and barely saw the full moon because it was not that high in the sky. It hid behind trees and houses on much of my trek. The temps were mid 50s and I just wore the light hoodie so I was a bit chilled.
Upon returning from a fairly normal length walk, I decided to pump the dumbbells. I did 4 good sets hitting all the major muscle groups. Not that extensive but I'll be doing barbells and dumbbells again once or twice this coming week.
