Happy 2025! The expectation is for Bitcoin to Boom and eventually bring Altcoins like HIVE to the party. Let's check in with Toby from the CryptoTips YouTube channel and see what he thinks in thevideo that dropped 13 hours ago and already has over 16K views.
The summary is...
Historical prices of Bitcoin on the first day of the year show that is is profitable to continually buy and hold Bitcoin.
The US debt will continue to grow causing money to be printed causing the value of the dollar to decrease. Bitcoin is a way to maintain and grow value.
CZ from Binance says the US and other countries will soon have Bitcoin reserves leading to lots of buying and holding.
January and February historically have good gains in the Bitcoin price.
Watch for yourself. It's only 11 minutes and will take even less time if you watch it on 1.75X like I do!
And HIVE?
I think we're seeing some decoupling of Bitcoin and Hive prices lately. Hive is not on a lot of exchanges and it seems to be paired mostly with Korean Yuan when it is on exchanges. There are new perpetual future instruments out there now.
Bitcoin may not directly help HIVE but it will help all alts as money made in BTC often trickles down to buy alts like HIVE.
I think HIVE will have a good year with a spike past $2 which could last just a matter of days. If I see this I may sell a bit of Hive and may buy it back cheaper.

My Hive goal
is modest and surely obtainable. I want to reach 60K Hive Power this year. I also want to build up a few hundred more HBD and accumulate hive-engine tokens like PEPE and ZING. I'll look at new hive-engine coins that may arrive and will be watching for new level 2 tokens possibly from VSC. There might even be a way to add new tokens to HIVE itself with new smart contracts that may be added to the chain in the near future.

My Activity
today was usual daily random movement to keep the blood flowing and the muscles limber. I did take my nightly walk. It was cold, in the upper 30s Fahrenheit. But the air was crisp and clean so it felt good to breathe it in. I could feel my blood being oxygenated!
