My Actifit Report Card: December 15 2024 - Lonely Sixteen

Last night I spoke on the phone with a girl I dated when I was 16. Then today YouTube had this related song it recommended to me. It is called Lonely Sixteen and it is by Anne Reilly & The Echomen from Australia. The recording is from 1964. It sounds a little like The Beatles or some surf music from that time. I think it is pretty cool and I bet no one out there ever heard it before so let's have a listen!

So it's a guitar based song with a pretty fast beat. You can rack up some large amount of actifit activity points just by dancing around your area with this on high volume. Try it!

Apparently the original was done in 1961 by Janie Black. This version sounds a lot more like a Country song. At least as far as the accent of the female singer. And also the guitar parts sounds like an Everly Brothers kind of song.

So let's hear that version as well. I'm not really sure if this IS the original or just an earlier version. It's hard to find exact info on such old obscure songs!

My Activity

today was a nice walk at night. It was in the 40s so far from freezing but I wore a heavy jacket anyway. I didn't see the Moon but it should still be nearly Full, wherever it is. Maybe its visiting you now!

I hope all had a nice weekend. We got through Monday and it wasn't a bad day of you have Bitcoin! That thing went past $107K and is still at $106.5K right now. Next stop $120K? I think it could happen this year. Next year 200K Bitcoin? Who knows. Hoping for $2 HIVE again!
