My Actifit Report Card: November 4 2024 - Sebastian Bach is Back

I guess I'm stuck in the 80s since this weekend. After dancing with old and new friends at an outdoor 80s and 90s music event I've been noticing related music videos on YouTube.

In the late 80s the band Skid Row was popular on MTV and on Rock radio. They had a hard rock and occasionally metal sound and look. Their singer was a dude with long blond hair named Sebastian Bach. He had a powerful voice with quite a range, easily hitting the high notes.

Three days ago a new Sebastian bach solo song hiit YouTube and it has 158K views already.

It's a powerful Rock tune with a choir of teens iin yellow robes and a young female guitarist. The song is called Future Of Youth and here is the Official Music Video. Stay for the end where the choir goes a capella.

Skid Row

I may as well drop in two of my favorite Skid Row songs so you can see Sabastian Bach as a Youth.

First up is 18 nd Life, which is mid tempo and showcases Sabastian's voice and range. It's about a teen who has trouble at home, leaves and later shoots his friend, landing him in jail. Kind of depressing but a sad reality for too many youth.

Second is Slave To The Grind, which is faster and more like thrash metal. Dancing to this will get your heart rate up and your activity number up as well. It's about getting stuck in the rat race of an unsatisfying job.

You can't be King of the World if you're a Slave to the Grind!

I feel that many of the boring mundane jobs will soon be done by AI and robots, hopefully providing a future where people can do what they love in their quest to feel like the King of the World.
