My Actifit Report Card: September 8 2024 - Sweet Has a New Song

(Edited)

Back in the 70s there was a pop rock band from England who had several big hits. This 4 piece band is Sweet. There is a lead guitar, rhythm guitar, drummer and singer. Actually all 4 are singers because they layer their 4 voices several times in several songs. Some songs also have synthesizer which was new at the time.

Today 50+ years later, 3 of the 4 original members have passed but Andy Scott the guitarist still makes music as Sweet with new members.

New Song

14 hours ago Sweet dropped a new video and it rocks! It is called Destination Hannover and it runs 3 and a half minutes. It already has 14K views.

Have a listen to this hard rocker!

Fox on the Run

You might remember this song. It was big worldwide. You can hear their harmony and use of synthesizer. It's a very catchy tune! This video has 12 Million views!

Set Me Free

This is from about the same time as Fox on the Run, but it is much harder and faster. Hard Rock and Metal bands often mention this one as their inspiration. This is what head banging music sounded like in 1975!

My Activity

today was moving a bit while I watched the first Panthers football game which did not go well. It had a few good moments but they got beat bad.

At night I took a walk and it was chilly and breezy so I wore my white hoodie over a sweatshirt. The sky was party clear but I saw no moon.

Time to start a new week. What will we do with it?

Have a nice day!

It's amazing how Sweet's music has stood the test of time, with Andy Scott still keeping the band's legacy alive after all these years.

today was moving a bit while I watched the first Panthers football game which did not go well. It had a few good moments but they got beat bad.-- its always an un-nice feeling to see one's favorite team go on the losing end . Hopefully they bounce back next time out..
