My Actifit Report Card: July 29 2024 - 8K For Me! Eight Days A Week

When I saw my number at 8K today, I thought, 8K for me! Which then made me remember an oldie by The Beatles called Eight Days A Week. It is one of their early hits and they sang it at their famous 1965 concert at Shea Stadium in New York City in from of tens of thousands of screaming fans.

The Beatles YouTube channel has a 2 minute documentary of the concert and they used Eight Days A Week as the soundtrack. Let's watch and sing along or dance along or scream along!

There is a nice Wikipedia article about The Beatles at Shea Stadium if you're interested in finding out more about the event. It happened on the 15th of August in 1965 so almost 60 years ago. There were 55,600 people there!

Hold me! Love me! Hold me! Love me!
I ain't got nothin' but Love, babe! Eight Days a Week!

I'll document some of the most liked comments here:

There’s Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday,Saturday,Sunday, and Yesterday

The Beatles 1965 Shea Stadium concert has gone down in history as arguably the largest collective orgasm of all time.

Does anyone else get tears in their eyes when they listen to The Beatles? Surely I'm not the only one.

I was there, Shea Stadium Aug 1965. I was 13 years old. I went with my best friend. We were screaming, too. Couldn't really hear them play. I still love them. I'm 72 now.

My Activity

today was some moving around just to keep from sitting too much. I also did 20 pushups.

At night I took my walk and it wasn't hot out but it was humid. I took my normal route and needed a shower when I got home.

I hope you all had a good Monday! Happy Tuesday! :)

Man you should be in military, or maybe you already are. 20 pushups is an uphill one for many people I've met. I bet given enough time you can do 100 pushups. Anyway exercise is good for the health. Thanks for writing. Have a great day.

The Beetles is such a legendary group that one can't help but make reference to them at any slightest opportunity .
