My Actifit Report Card: May 30 2024 - Open To Different Points Of View
Today the doorbell rang. A few nice people from a certain Christian variant were at my door to drop off a pamphlet regarding an upcoming event. I would have invited them in but I was making a meal for some family members. I have invited people from their faith in before and had a good conversation with them.
I am someone who is interested in people and like to listen to them explain what is important to them. I listen in person when the time is right for that. I also listen on YouTube. Lots of people with different ideas about things make videos and say what they think and feel. I'm very interested in hearing as many points of view on as many things as possible. It's a wonderful time to be alive because I can do this on my devices watching YouTube!
One person who is interesting and thought provoking is Dr. Jordan Peterson, an internet famous clinical Psychologist and lecturer. He talks about religion and what it takes to have a good life. In the following video about #god, TMM pushes back on Peterson from a clip where he is being interviewed. So I can hear 2 opposing points of view in one 9 minute video!
My Activity
today included taking a family member to the dentist for some un-fun dental work. Then taking care of them, including going to buy soft foods for their meals.
At night I did take a nice long walk. It was cool out, mind 60s Fahrenheit. I didn't see the moon. I think it is in the part of it's cycle when it is not visible here.
Have I mentioned that I am doing chin-ups again? I should not have ever stopped! I can only do about 6 in a row now. So My first goal is to be able to do 10. Stay Tuned!
Have a great Friday! :)

nice infos my friend, it is always good to be a listening person
u benefit from other's experiences
Hmm
Looks like your place over there is really safe that you can invite people to join you in eating your meal
Right?
These people were older and dressed in church clothes and they were handing out church pamphlets so I feel comfortable inviting them into my house if I have time to talk to them. :)
interesting video, thanks for sharing the report, have a nice day and a great Friday

It's great to see your openness to engaging with people from different backgrounds and viewpoints. Your curiosity and willingness to listen, whether in person or through online platforms like YouTube, is inspiring.
Best of luck with your chin-ups goal, hitting 10 is a great target! Hope you had a wonderful Friday?!
yea, smart guy.. no doubt.. but i decided to not listen to him when he said how man isn't fulfilling any purpose in life, if they are NOT married and have childern.. he intentionally or without thinking (which i highly doubt of him) disregarded ALL the single people who chose that life, and furthered human evolution.. earheart, tesla, etc.
Good point. Not everyone need have kids to contribute to humanity.
