My Actifit Report Card: May 24 2024

Today I went to an actual gym for the first time in a while. I have my own dumbbells and barbells and a few other pieces of equipment but a gym has more exercise stuff.

After walking around a mall after dinner I went to a hotel gym. They had heavier dumbbells than I have. I lifted weights 30% more than usual.

I used an inflatable ball to do some sit-ups. You have to stabilize yourself so it's good for the core.

Finally there was a machine with two chains with handles and you could move the pins in the two weight stacks to select how much force you would exert. I spent some time on that, working on my form and not really lifting a lot of weight.

So quite a different day in terms of my activity.

yup. i know exactly what u mean.. i just started going to planet fitness, which u prolly know is THE mega commercial gym..

over 200 machines and stuff there.. I used to lift the 45 plates with relative ease, now i struggle to safely move 25 lbs. (i mean when racking) goals..

Sounds like you had a productive and varied workout! It's great that you explored the hotel's gym and challenged yourself with heavier weights and different equipment.

For a fact incorporating new exercises like those on the stability ball and the machine with adjustable weights can really enhance your routine.
