The end of 2022/2023 EPL season | A day of dead rubber games.

The last few hours of this day have been quite eventful in ways I didn't expect. I went to church and I estimated I would be spending a maximum of 3 hours there, but that wasn't the case. I spent close to 5 whole hours. Haha. As if that wasn't enough, I went shopping at a mall and the exact items I needed were not available.

I had to improvise and get other brands of the items which I will likely feel like I wasted my money while making use of it. On my way back, I got ruffled up my rainfall.

Hah! That's not all!

Liverpool! Wow! This is the final game week of the season and I know this is already a dead rubber game and winning 10-0 wouldn't even make any difference to our standing in the EPL table, but what we saw in that game is exactly a clear definition of why Liverpool is where we are at the moment.

How do you go two goals up in the first fifteen minutes of a game, but can't even maintain that lead up to the half-hour mark?

Wow! Just, wow!

Look at the events that played out at St. Mary's Stadium this evening;

Do you know what's unsettling about this performance? It's the fact that we always have a good record against Southampton and we currently have a squad that is fully fit except for the likes of Chamberlain and Keita who wouldn't even get anywhere near the squad if they were fully fit.

You've seen the stats. We didn't even lose this game, but I'm feeling salty about it because I expected something inspiring on this final game day of the season. But, what we got in this game is a reminder that even with a fully fit squad, a lot of work has to be done and we need fresh legs in midfield, especially, and also in defence.

I think we are already in a situation where we need to let go of some old legs and I'm glad that Milner, Keita and Chambo are already exiting. I still have a couple of people in the team whom I will be glad to cash out on so we can get fresh legs into the squad and go for the jugular next season.

Well, the season has come to an end. There are a lot of memorable things about this season of the Premier League and it was a really interesting season with so many twists and turns.

Remember how people doubted Halaand at the beginning of the season? Haha. All the doubts are already cleared. The young lad is smashing every record he can lay his hands on. How many awards does he have already? So many! And, he still has some finals to play. Haha. Citeh and Cityzens are having a really good laugh.

As for Arsenal, I won't be forgetting their title race anytime soon. They were this 🤏 close to winning the Prems, but, y'all know how the story ended.
