Liverpool gets a win on a dramatic footballing Sunday.

On a typical game day, I would be fuming because of the players that were lined up for the game tonight. Imagine Liverpool playing a title-deciding game and they have Salah, Macca, Nunez, and even Szobo on the bench. It's not something that happens very often, but I can't even be mad at the Coach because we've played our best squad since 2 months ago and their performance has been stinky.

The first half of this game didn't surprise me at all. Liverpool had their moments of brilliance but they didn't look sharp at any point in the game. They were ridiculously sloppy with their finishes and after trying the same thing repeatedly, they sat back and exchanged passes at their backline. It was like watching a team that was scared of leaving their side of the pitch.

The only positive from the first half of the game is the goal that was scored by Trent. Jota won a free kick for Liverpool in a very decent position and Trent stepped up to take it. He scored from the free kick spot and put Liverpool ahead. Things would have been so much better if we managed to keep our backline tight for the rest of the first half. However, in our usual fashion, we snoozed and got punished by Fulham. The first half ended with a 1 -1 draw.

Second Half...

Liverpool's performance in the second half of the game was not any different from how they have played in the last couple of games. Their backline looked weak and they were also creating a shit ton of chances upfront. The only difference in this half is that they managed to score a few of the chances that were created.

Gravenberch scored in the 53rd minute to put Liverpool ahead. The goal is a very sleek one from Gravey. It's been a while since the lad got on the score sheet. So, this goal today came at a very good time for him. The next goal after that came from Jota. What a goal from the lad. His goal warranted a VAR check for Offside. Thankfully, it turned out that he was onside and the goal was given.

Macca, Salah, Nunez, Szobo, and Gomez got their chance in the ending phase of the game. The sub was well-timed by Jurgen and both Salah and Nunez had goalscoring opportunities that they bottled. At that point, I wasn't even fuming at them. It was just ridiculous. It's even more painful because I have both Salah and Nunez in my Fantasy Premier League (FPL). They both didn't get any returns. I hope they do better in our mid-week fixture.

Did you see Coventry's comeback against Man United?

I was so busy watching the drama that was going on in Liverpool's game. So, I didn't have any extra attention to give to the Man United game, especially when they were already 3 goals ahead a Championship side. Lol. Who would have thought that Man United would bottle that lead? Imagine losing 3 three-goal advantage to a Championship side.

I was having a big laugh at Man United with each goal they conceded until they completely lost all their advantage. Coventry managed to equalize and drag the game to 120 minutes, followed by a penalty shootout. Coventry lost in the penalty shootout, but it genuinely feels like all the banter will go to Manchester United. Lol.

That was one heck of a dramatic game.
