This game week has been an interesting one for me and all Liverpool fans. It sure was good to see Chelsea drop points this gameweek. Man City and Man United were both on the losing side of their fixtures. It almost felt like they did Liverpool a favor.

That also means that the pressure is on Liverpool to go all out and get a win in the fixture they have this gameweek. The fixture happens to be an Away game against this high flying Tottenham Hotspur team.

Yeah!

Based on the history of EPL games between these sides plus the recent form they have, it seems fairly obvious that this fixture promises to be an entertaining and high scoring one.

First Half...

The first half started with Liverpool being in complete domination. They had more of the ball, controlled the game, created a bunch of goalscoring opportunities, and the goals followed suit.

First goal of the game was scored by Liverpool. It came from a sumptuous pass which was delivered by Trent and scored by Diaz. This goal is a highlight of the resilience we see from Diaz as he puts everything on the line to get a goal and bury that goalscoring opportunity.

The next goal was another Liverpool goal. This time around, the goal came from Macca who sneaked into Tottenham's backline and scored with a header.

Macca who just got on the scores sheets for Liverpool also lost the ball at a dangerous spot and led to the first goal that was scored by Tottenham. They got theirs in the 41st minute... Just before the halftime whistle.

I saw that goal and hoped we would end the first half without conceding an equalizer from Tottenham. However, something better happened. We got one more goal to secure 2 goals advantage and push the score sheet to 1 - 3 before halftime.

Second Half...

Liverpool started the second half with massive attack and it paid off.

They were able to score two goals within the first 15 minutes of the second half and pushed the scoreline to 1 - 5 in favor of Liverpool. Both goals were scored by Mo Salah who has been on a very good run even as there are doubts regarding his renewal of his Liverpool contract.

While Liverpool are completely obliterating Tottenham, there were still moments of brilliance displayed by Tottenham. That's how they were able to get two additional goals between the 72nd and the 83rd minute of the game.

3 - 5 is still a sure win for Liverpool and I didn't have any doubt when we conceded those goals. However, Liverpool did something better and got a goal in the 85th minute. This high scoring game produced 9 goals.

Christmas is looking good already.
