Game Reviews; EPL fans were spoilt for choice by the mid-week fixtures.

I'm laughing so hard after the games that were just played in the English Premier League. It was a tough midweek fixture for several fans and I know so many people would be screaming at their TV while watching the games.

My major focus in tonight's fixture is the game that was played between West Ham and Liverpool, but I couldn't stop myself from looking at what was going on in other games that were being played at the same time. Yeah, we were spoilt for choice by tonight's EPL fixtures. These are the top games that were played;

  • West Ham vs Liverpool

  • Chelsea vs Brentford

  • Man City vs Arsenal ~ (The game of the week)

I'm more of a Liverpool fan than a football fan, so you can imagine the game that captivated my attention. However, I couldn't stop myself from sneaking a look at the other TVs where the other games were being televised.

These are the major takeaways from those games;

1. Chelsea is yet to sort their problems out.

Lots of big teams have been struggling in England, but Chelsea's problem is hard to understand. They have a squad that is good enough to win quadruple and they have the financial capacity to sign any Manager of their choice, but it's still looking like a really bad time to be a Chelsea fan.

Their on & off performance is making them the joke of the season and their fans feel gutted to watch them play week in and week out. Oh, they lost again today. Brentford schooled them in the game that ended with 2 goals in favour of Brentford.

2. The Cityzens are having a laugh.

We know Manchester City and we know what they are capable of doing. They may not yet be Champions League winners, but there is no doubt about their quality whenever they are in the EPL title race. It's funny how many people thought Arsenal will win this league, but the tune of the music is beginning to change, especially after the game that was played this night.

Man City scored 4 against Arsenal in that 5 goals thriller. They are currently breathing down Arsenal's neck and the Man City we know are most likely going to win the rest of their match. They must be laughing at all those that wrote them off, right?

3. Arsenal seems to be in a lot of mess.

Make no mistake about this... Arsenal has achieved so much already. If you think back to the Arsenal of recent years, I'm sure nobody would have expected them to be in a title race in April. Surely, they have done their fans proud, but it's hard to give them all the credits when you consider the fact that they successfully made things hard for themselves.

Their last couple of games haven't been inspiring. They dropped points here and there and this is currently biting them hard. Their fans and the players will surely be gutted if they bottle this season's EPL. Who knows when they will ever get this close again?

4. A scrappy win is still a win for Liverpool.

You can call it a scrappy win or an ugly win. I won't even dare to make bones about it. All I know is that I watched that game and it was a very distasteful performance by the Reds. It's like the players are begging for some sorta holiday. Klopp also seems to be taking forever to do subs even when it's obvious that we already have weak legs in the pitch.

The good news though is that we Liverpudlians are in no condition to demand a 10 - 0 trashing from the squad. We know we haven't been at our best and we know we can't afford to lose a point for the rest of the season if we want to stand a chance of qualifying for next season's Champions League. That's exactly why we will gladly take a win however we get it; Penalties, Controversial VAR decisions, Own-goals... Name it.

Today wasn't a bad day at the office. I really can't wait to see how the premier league table would be after the 38th game week. I'm sure there will be some shocking results. Hehe.

After Arsenal 4 games without a game, I myself realized they have just handed the league to City because there was no way Arsenal would have taken a point at the Etihad

Exactly. Arsenal were comfortably sitting at the top, but they are ready bottling the league as it stands. The whole chaos started when they bottled their 2 goals lead against liverpool. They haven't been at their best since then.

Leagues are won by men and not boys, that is what Manchester City showed Arsenal on Wednesday night. Arsenal fans should just forget about their club winning the league title because they can't, it belongs to City.

Manchester City has proven to be a worthy crown bearer in EPL. They did it without Halaand, so having a goal poacher like Halaand in the mix raises their advantage.

They will surely have their eyes on UCL, but add EPL to it won't be a bad idea. Haha
