Chelsea got humbled by Arsenal in EPL London Derby.

For the record, this post was drafted in real-time while watching the game.

It's always a pleasure to watch an English Premier League fixture where any of the Big 6 clubs are having a go at each other. We know from experience that games like that are bound to be filled with intensity and drama. And, it's even better when you have no horse in the race.

Since this isn't Liverpool playing, it would make sense for me to be on the fence and enjoy the fixture. However, just because Arsenal is at the same point as Liverpool in the current EPL title race, I will be hoping for the game to end in favor of Chelsea. A win or draw for Chelsea would be perfect, but the first attacking attempt in the game led to a defensive blunder from Chelsea. Haha.

Seems like it's really going to be a long night...

Arsenal are already ahead in the 4th minute of the game, thanks to a sumptuous goal from Trossard. This lad has been getting it right for Arsenal when called upon and this early goal could make a lot of difference in Arsenal's title race. While the goal is top-notch, Chelsea's goalkeeper really snoozed there.

Arsenal bossed this half of the game with ease. They created a shit ton of goalscoring opportunities and controlled the midfield battle. They also managed to get under the skin of Cucurella and Gilchrist and each of them got yellow card booking in two unnecessary situations. Chelsea on the other hand had their moments of brilliance but didn't look threatening enough to cause any damage to Arsenal.

Second Half...

Arsenal kicked off the second half with a series of attacking attempts. They placed Chelsea under pressure and their multiple attempts paid off. Ben White got the second goal to cement Arsenal's lead. What a goal that was. There could be more before the game sees its end.

That next goal came 5 minutes later and it wasn't a goal for Chelsea. Lol. This is turning into a Comedy special. Chelsea are getting rattled by Arsenal and this third goal came from Havertz, a player who was once part of Chelsea FC. It must hurt to be a Chelsea fan right now. Lol.

In the hit of all these, Nicolas Jackson got a sumptuous pass and was already in a 1v1 position with Arsenal's goalkeeper. The young lad managed to waste this goalscoring opportunity without even playing the ball on target. This missed opportunity is a microcosm of his performance since he joined Chelsea.

Havertz got another goal in for Arsenal. Chelsea's goalkeeper didn't see that coming. He didn't stand any chance. This goal raised the scoreline to 4 - 0 in favor of Arsenal and they still had 25 minutes of playtime remaining. The 5th and final goal of the came from Ben White in the 76th minute.

At this point in the game, a lot of Chelsea fans were already out of the stadium. They just couldn't take the embarrassment anymore. I also couldn't believe what I was seeing. Chelsea have really fallen off what's expected of them.

What a game! What a win for Arsenal.
