Brentford 3 - 1 Liverpool. T'was an appalling start of the year for Liverpool.

Words on the street are that a new year comes with new life, new experience and a lot of inspiring results. Seems like Liverpool fans would have to deal with the same old ludicrous results we've been getting in most games that were played by Liverpool before the international break.

You know what? I genuinely thought Liverpool would be strolling back into the top 4 position after the break. I thought the whole international break would have presented a good opportunity for Liverpool to get themselves back on track, but the series of performances we've been seeing from them have been fairly uninspiring.

The game that was just played tonight at Gtech Community Stadium will surely count as a game Liverpool fans would want to forget as soon as possible.

Look at that and have a good look at the notable events that played out in that game.

What a game that was.

Imagine watching such a brilliant performance by Brentford. It was a very interesting game for a neutral fan, but it's also the kinda game you wouldn't want to start the year with if you are a Liverpool fan.

The insane thing about this game is that you can't make a case for Liverpool. They got bullied in a way that is completely hard to make head or tail of. It's such an appalling performance from the lads. The midfield was invisible while the defence was having an off-day.

You know, it's not very often you see Klopp push for a triple substitution at the beginning of the second half of a game. Interestingly, they did that in this game. The interesting part of this is that he also subbed Van Dijk off.

That's a big statement from the gaffer.

Big ups to the lads at Brentford. I may well be saying this painstakingly, but the fact is that Brentford truly deserved a win. They deserve the maximum point from that game and they won it stylishly.

The big question is, do y'all think Liverpool will make the top 4 this season?

I didn't watch the match but I am sure Brentford did their normal tactics of sitting at the back and waiting for the goals to come while putting on all their mechanic spirit....

The last match, Faes managed to get Liverpool a win without them lifting a finger😂.... Well, I can't actually laugh in peace for someone whose club is also on his neck but I must say Nunez really needs to man up that position age gets things done

Hahah... That game in addition to the games we've been playing since after the International break have been filled with a lot of questionable performance.

Yesterday's result should be a big slap on the face of Liverpool.

Now am confused. I don’t know what the problem is. Going into the international break I thought everything will turn out just fine after the World Cup but even after it it looks like things have gone from bad to worse.

At least last year they were playing good and not getting the results. This time round they are not even playing good. A clear example is the Leicester match. They won the match but Leicester were the cause of their own downfall.

The way things are going do you think Liverpool can even qualify for the Europa league?

I'm genuinely as confused as you are. This Liverpool team are giving us the type of performance that makes football fans loose their cool. Haha. It's so weird, I can't even blame one person for the series of errors we are seeing.

do you think Liverpool can even qualify for the Europa league?

I was even asking of their chances of qualifying for Champions League, but serious question has to be asked about them qualifying for Europa league.

If they don’t pick up and start wining games things can turn out really bad.

My brother who supports Liverpool is calling his team finished, there performance is so bad and I still think Mane departure affected the team. I am also wondering if Nunez is worth the money Liverpool paid for, the guy has been very poor, Liverpool needs to get back in the game or else they might loose a top four stop in the EPL.

Liverpool really need to wake up from their long sleep. This season has been disastrous for them. I can't even believe what I'm seeing
