Another bottle job in Liverpool's bottling history.

"A win for Liverpool? This Liverpool? Did anyone see that coming?"

Those were the rhetorical questions I was asking myself in the first 15 minutes of the UCL game that was just played between Liverpool and Real Madrid. I'm sure you already know how the whole thing turned out. It was one hell of a game for Liverpool but do well to hold your laugh. Hehe. It's been a rough day for most Liverpool fans like myself.

It's funny how we always believe in the iconic statement made by Jurgen Klopp when he said he will change Liverpool supporters from doubters to believers. That statement has been living rent-free in my mind, but the inverse has been the case for the vast majority of this season. We are being dragged back to our doubting days.

I will be honest with y'all... I didn't go into this game with any expectations. Liverpool has already been outplayed by so many 'small clubs' this season. Having any expectation in a game against R/Madrid would be considered laughable. But then, you wouldn't blame me for getting pumped when we got 2 goals lead very early in the game. Imagine the brilliance it took to score two past R/Madrid within the first 15 minutes of the game.

At that very point, the part of me that didn't have any expectations suddenly became filled with tons of expectations. I expected a win. I hoped for more goals. I wanted a clean sheet. I wanted us to finally get an upper hand against R/Madrid. Of course, I thought we deserve this after so many years of being outplayed by them. What I didn't know was that my expectations will soon become the architect of my disappointment.

To put this into perspective, the screenshot below tells a better story about how my sudden expectations got shattered;

This is the weirdest bottle job in the history of bottling. The whole turn of events is comical. It was so comical, I could hardly stand it. Yet, I had to sit through the whole 90 minutes of the game. I still don't know why I do that. Maybe it's because I sacrificed my hard-earned money to watch this battering.

That's all about the rise and fall of Liverpool's Champions League dream in this season of UCL.

What an European night!

I was too busy last night trying to make an entry for a contest on Hive so I didn't bother about seeing the match since I know what was going to happen in end.

After the two goals from Liverpool, my younger brother said, "bro, it looks like you guys will make history tonight". He gave me update and even though I was tempted to leave everything that I was doing to watch the match, I had a feeling that things will get messy at the end for us and it happened

I just didn't see us conceding that much, the team is completely in shambles and I hope Klopp does the needful to help the team rise again

Yes oooo. The team is in shambles. Too many things are going wrong. We got outplayed and outclassed yesterday. To be fair, that wasn't a surprise, but giving up 2 goals lead and losing by that margin in a Champions League game is a new low for Liverpool.

They really need to do something as soon as possible

I hardly watch football matches of various leages. I only watch football matches in the time of world cup. So from that point of view I am a seasonal fan of football.

But it seems you are a regular football fan and you love to watch football matches almost everyday.
I don't know why I don't feel any kind of interest in any kind of game.

Hahah... You are correct. I'm a really big fan of football and I would really way to watch several games, but I don't have enough time for it. Haha.

At the moment, I'm more of a Liverpool fan than a football fan. For the past two years, I've only been watching football when liverpool are playing. Maybe in the future when I've made enough money to last me 3 generations, I would then feel relieved enough to watch as many football games as possible 😂

At the moment, I'm more of a Liverpool fan than a football fan.

At the moment I am a fan of real Madrid and PSG at the same time 😂. But I am not a die hard fan and I don't watch any match.

But I can give lecture about any match like I watch every match 😂 like expert football fan. I think it's one kind of ability of mine 😂
