A big night ahead for Salah and Mane - AFCON decider

We've got a big night ahead for Sadio Mane and Mo Salah as the Liverpool teammates are set to wear the badge of their respective country and play against each other in today's African Cup of Nation (AFCON).

This game between Senegal and Egypt is the final game of the tournament. A must watch game.

The name on everyone's lips is Salah and Mane. The Liverpool duo have been instrumental in leading their national team thus far and they will have to go all-in and play with all their might in tonight's encounter. It will be a terrific game to watch.

AFCON record for both sides

Egypt has been more dominant historically as they have bagged 7 African Cup of Nations, the highest in the history of the tournament. On the side of Senegal, they are yet to win any AFCON. Their best performance came twice when they finished as runner-up for the tournament.

Will this be their time to clinch the title and fly out of Yaounde in flying colours?

Maybe, maybe not.

On paper, Senegal is the favourite side to win this because of the crop of players they have in their team. They are experienced professionals who are doing their trade in top leagues in Europe. On the side of Egypt, more than 85% of their squad are home-based players. They may not have a good number of big names, but their strength is in team play. This same team played till this point so, we can't take anything away from them.

We can't say enough about how intense this game will be. All eyes are on the tournament and the hype built around it is quite adorable. I will be watching it as a neutral fan and I hope to see the players have a good game without getting injured.

Any prediction?

None from me...

While we look forward to the AFCON game, I'm also excited about the return of club football after the international break.

In today's club game, I hope to see an interesting display from Liverpool as they are set to play against Cardiff City.

Let's have a gameful Sunday ✌️

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop Or Comma

A lot of hype in this game for sure. Egypt has better charts but anything could happen. I'll go for Senegal this time 😁

Yeah... The charts are on favour of Egypt, but this particular team have been doing well based on their teamwork.

It will be fun to see how their game will end today.

The game is on now and Liverpool is pulling weight already. It's better you keep watching it as a neutral fan to avoid high blood pressure 🤩

Lol... Please get yourself prepared for this game. Haha. It's going to be a cracker.

Yeah, Egypt actually lost against Nigeria but that's in group stage. They were able to win their subsequent matches and are now in finals. Haha.

Enjoy the game oooo

I've followed this tournament closely and watched most of the matches live. Statistically speaking, Senegal should win. They've deservedly progressed to the final unlike Egypt. They have a good game play unlike Egypt who usually defend, wait for counter attacks or probably push to extra time and penalty kicks and they've successfully done this at all the knock out stage matches. They've even only scored 4 goals in this tournament unlike Senegal with 9 goals. Senegal should win tonight's final but this is football and the better team doesn't usually win

You are on point. This is not the best team Egypt have been able to produce over the last two decades. They know their shortcoming yet they have been able to ride till this very point and that is an impressive thing about their team performance and their teamwork.

On the side of Senegal, the have nice crop of players and they have higher chance of securing the win in this encounter if everything should end in 90 minutes.

What I find more interesting is the fact that one of these countries would have to Miss World Cup because both of them will be playing against each other in the next round of World Cup qualification.
