Digamos que eso fue una prueba para poder recuperar el deporte de los gigantes en nuestro país, ya en el año 2022 se dio a conocer que se crearía lo que hoy se conoce como la Superliga de Baloncesto Profesional, el nivel sin duda alguna entre el año pasado y el presente ha subido considerablemente, en años anteriores o en las antiguas ligas la cantidad de equipos eran 8, pero en la presente edición son 20 los que conforman dicha liga, divididos en dos conferencias, la oriental y la occidental, para mi gusto me parece que son muchos equipos, pero hasta ahora las cosas han salido bien y lo mejor del caso es que hay actividad profesional en estados en donde no tenían la dicha de disfrutar de tan buen espectáculo.

De 20 equipos clasifican a octavos de final 16, eso representan un 80 % del total de los equipos que hacen vida en la liga, veo muy grande la cantidad de calificados, pero quizás más adelante y dependiendo de la realidad de cada equipo esa cantidad de clasificados baje, en la conferencia occidental clasificaron 8 equipos, los cuales son: Guaros, Trotamundos, Broncos, Brillantes, Héroes, Centauros, Gaiteros y llaneros, mientras que en la conferencia oriental quienes lograron el pase fueron: Gladiadores, Cocodrilos, Piratas, Guaiqueríes, Spartans, Panteras, Gigantes y Diablos, los cruces quedaron de esta forma: Guaros se enfrentan a Llaneros, Trotamundos Vs. Gaiteros, Broncos ante Centauros y Brillantes contra Héroes.

Meanwhile, in the eastern conference the clashes will be these: Gladiadores will face Diablos, Cocodrilos will face Gigantes, Piratas will do the same against Panteras and finally Guaiqueríes goes against Spartans, there are series that look very favorable for some teams, especially in the western conference, Guaros, Trotamundos and Broncos, it seems that they are a fixed in the quarterfinals, they look very superior to their rivals, These teams have an excellent import and a pretty good Creole base, in the case of Guaros who were the leaders of their conference, they came from being second to last in the last edition, but their management did an excellent job and to the evidence I refer, from almost last, they went to first and with the second best record of wins in the entire league, only behind Gladiadores de Anzoátegui.

Guaros de Lara began their journey in the round of 16 yesterday, and won with total forcefulness to the Llaneros with a score of 91 to 72, this victory was practically achieved by the Crepuscular in the same first quarter, in that quarter they won 34 to 19, took an advantage of 15 points, which they did not lose throughout the commitment, then the visitors managed to play better, but it was too late, the Lara with an excellent rotation of its 5 imported players made that initial advantage was more than enough to achieve the victory. The Creoles Heisler Guillen, Jose Vargas and Alan Cabrera merged with the foreigners and were a real wall of contention against their rivals.

One of the great favorites to transcend in this campaign, are the current champions, the Trotamundos de Carabobo, who also won yesterday in the first game of their series against the Gaiteros del Zulia, but unlike the Guaros, that victory was much closer, 85 - 79, it was quite exciting this clash that was played in the Forum of the city of Valencia, This series looks a little more even than that of Llaneros and Guaros, to achieve the two victories that are missing to access the quarterfinals, they have to annul the perimetrals of the Zulia team, as that is the strength of this team, avoid a little zone defense, because Gaiteros have great three-point shooters. 

Broncos gave a real beating to Centauro, with a difference of 23 points, the final scoreboard, which was 88 - 65, this is a series very similar to that of Lara, and I think both could end with sweeps, as I mentioned earlier this conference looks very open for these teams that I name, the only series that could really go to more than three games, is that of Brillantes del Zulia and Heroes de Falcon, The Brillantes won the first game, with a difference of 5 points, 70 to 65 was the final score, the winner of this series will face the one that does the same between llaneros and Guaros, a scenario that is not at all encouraging for the winner of this crossing, I see a minimum advantage to Brillantes, who depend in a 90% to their imported players, and the Creole base in these series will be the big difference.  

Tonight the emotions are on in the eastern conference, here Gladiadores, Cocodrilos and Guaiqueríes are the males of the game, especially the first two, between those two teams is half the national team, I repeat, in both conferences the teams that get further, will be the ones that have the best Creole base, because you can have very good imports, but the 5 can not be at the same time on the court, hence the importance of the Creoles when looking to reach the final stages of the tournament, my favorites to play the finals of each conference are: Guaros against Trotamundos and Gladiadores against Cocodrilos, but we already know that in sports anything can happen.
