Pelatih Chelsea, Frank Lampard, mencoba yakinkan Christian Pulisic bahwa dia akan mendapat kesempatan bermain bersama the Blues setelah ikut membawa kemenangan 4-1 di kandang Southampton, Minggu (6/10) malam.
Pulisic akhirnya dimainkan Lampard di babak kedua laga di kandang The Saints yang berakhir dengan kemenangan telak the Blues. Pemain Timnas Amerika Serikat itu sebelumnya absen di laga melawan Lille sebelumnya.
