Bienvenidos mis queridos pensadores viajeros del internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, nuestra mente es el lugar más privado que tenemos, aquel sitio en donde podemos tener las opiniones más controvertidas y polémicas sin temor a ser juzgados, ¿Alguna vez has pensado que pasaría si esto no fuese así? Oh sí, el filme que hoy nos reúne titulado "Chaos Walking" pone en práctica dicho concepto interesante de la mano con algo de ciencia ficción, por lo que suena como un concepto interesante. Sin más que agregar prepárense para tener sus pensamientos al descubierto pues estamos por comenzar.

It is a science fiction and adventure film, the story focuses on a planet called "New World" in the year 2257, a site that has been recently colonized by humans relatively recently, the peculiarity of this new planet is that it is only the men are affected by something called "The Noise" that makes the men's thoughts visible, this whole situation is even more complex because all the women in the settlement were killed by a confrontation against a native species, this whole situation will take a turn when a ship lands and brings with it a woman who will change all things.

The soundtrack is fine, it is nothing spectacular but it broadly fulfills its purpose of providing a good musical setting.
La banda sonora está bien, no es nada espectacular pero a grandes rasgos cumple con su cometido de dar una buena ambientación musical.
The world building is disappointing, we are talking about a new planet with which the possibilities for the setting are endless, and yet this is never used, the planet is extremely boring and completely lacks features that make it feel like a new place different from our planet, this has a direct impact on the plot because one of its points of interest lies precisely in the fact of being on another celestial body with different elements. On a social level the context is a little better, it raises various conflicts as a result of being able to see the thoughts of your peers, this makes coexistence adapt to said situation, it is not the most complex thing in the world but it turns out to be an interesting element.
La construcción de mundo es decepcionante, hablamos de un planeta nuevo con el que las posibilidades para la ambientación son infinitas, y, sin embargo, nunca se hace uso de esto, el planeta es sumamente aburrido y carece completamente de características que lo hagan sentir como un sitio nuevo diferente a nuestro planeta, esto repercute directamente sobre la trama debido a que uno de sus puntos de interés radica precisamente en el hecho de estar en otro cuerpo celeste con diferentes elementos. A nivel social el contexto es un poco mejor, plantea diversos conflictos producto de que se puedan ver los pensamientos de tus semejantes, esto hace que la convivencia se adapte a dicha situación, no es lo más complejo del mundo pero resulta ser un elemento interesante.

Narratively, the film does not know what it wants to do, it does not establish a purpose as such, which is why the film feels directionless. Added to this are its plot twists, which are also somewhat forced and not very logical; All of the above makes the pace of the film feel inconsistent with events that are incorporated in a clumsy way. The duration is fine, the problem lies in the way of telling the facts, many of these are introduced without anticipation and some even make no sense, he again stressed, the problem is not in the duration because it is very digestible, the problem is in the way it develops its premise.
La trama es fluctuante, tiene momentos atrapantes con respecto a misterios que se van descubriendo paulatinamente, no obstante muchos de estos se sienten incongruentes y carentes de lógica, a esto se le suma la poca presencia de la ciencia ficción debido a que es incluida de forma muy tímida, en más de una ocasión ni siquiera parece que vivan en el futuro ni nada que se le asemeje. Narrativamente el filme no sabe qué quiere hacer, no establece una finalidad como tal por lo que la cinta se siente sin rumbo, a esto se le suman sus giros argumentales, los cuales también son algo forzados y no muy lógicos que digamos; todo lo anterior hace que el ritmo de la película se sienta inconsistente con sucesos que se van incorporando de forma tosca. La duración está bien el problema radica en la forma de contar los hechos, muchos de estos se introducen sin anticipación e incluso algunos carecen de sentido, nuevamente recalcó, el problema no está en la duración debido a que está es muy digerible, el problema está en la forma en que desarrolla su premisa.

The antagonist's objective makes no sense at all, a valid explanation is never established for it and it only remains as stupid as a large castle, this is a rather sad outcome because it had a good presence and was perceived as imposing, everything This results in a lot of potential that is unfortunately wasted, the rest of the characters contribute nothing and are worthless.
Todd es sin lugar a dudas un personaje interesante no por el hecho de tener trasfondo y demás sino por la forma en que representa al hombre promedio, pensando y sintiendo más cosas de las que realmente expresa, una ejemplificación perfecta a la mayoría de hombre, es una tristeza de que se sienta más como una representación general que como un personaje como tal, lo anterior es producto de su carencia de personalidad; la coprotagonista sufre de esto pero a una escala mayor puesto que esta no representa a nada y directamente se establece de forma descarada que solo está ahí única y exclusivamente para impulsar la trama, carece de cualquier caracterización por más básica que sea, lo único que se puede saber con certeza es que es mujer y que es del espacio, no hay más que destacar. El objetivo del antagonista no tiene en absoluto sentido, nunca se establece una explicación válida para ello y solo queda como una estupidez como un castillo de grande, esto es un desenlace bastante triste debido a que este contaba con una buena presenciay se percibia imponente, todo esto deriva en mucho potencial que desgraciadamente es desaprovechado, el resto de personajes no aporta nada ni vale para nada.
Chaos Walking is an interesting concept that remains halfway and does not know how to correctly establish what its objectives are, which is denoted above all in its narrative full of errors, its empty characters and its world construction lacking imagination, the latter being the one that ends up weighing him down the most. Chaos Walking es un concepto interesante que se queda a medio camino y no sabe establecer correctamente cuáles son sus objetivos, cosa que se denota sobre todo en su narrativa plagada de errores, sus personajes vacíos y su construcción de mundo carente de imaginación, siendo este último el que más le termina pesando. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 2 estrellas de 7, otra prueba de que las idea atractivas deben desarrollarse de la forma correcta para que pueda explotarse todo su potencial.

Hola. Sugerente la temática del filme que nos propone. Es complicado de por sí sumergirse en nuestros propios pensamientos imagina tener acceso sin restricciones a los de alguien más!
La premisa es interesante, lo que daña un poquito el asunto es la forma de desarrollarla, pero bueno, no todo puede ser perfecto. 🤗💜
