Modified gravity gave us an explanation for this accelerated expansion, but now we return to the starting point, that is, to the explanation that Einstein gave of gravity and that explanation does not explain why 5 billion years ago the expansion accelerated. , to adjust the theme of Einstein's theory, dark energy is needed to justify the accelerated expansion of the universe.

What is dark energy. We know what it does. expands the universe which is not a little and the current theory is that this energy would be caused because the density of matter decreases as the Universe expands, while the density of dark energy remains constant with the expansion, we do not know why Dark energy has that strange property of remaining constant and what is even worse is why 5,000 million years ago the universe hit that acceleration, suddenly the universe lost density, it is all very strange.

Einstein has won, but we are still in doubt about the mystery of who will solve this issue, string theory, another new theory that emerges, we need to investigate more and have more data.

But there is a curious theory from approximately 6 months ago, which says that this acceleration was due to our Universe eating another universe and suddenly increasing its size basically, in short it is like this, that was a very curious theory, keep in mind that we do not see the entire universe, we only see the known universe, we do not see many galaxies that are already very far from us.
