Graphene is one of the miracles of technology and there has been a new finding about graphene, this finding is supported by a group of researchers from MIT Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the research has been published in nature, the scientific journal.

Graphene is made up of a sheet of carbon atoms with a thickness of a single atom, organized in a structure with a hexagonal pattern. Carbon is one of the essential elements for life and is fortunately abundant on our planet, so Graphene is described as a miracle material and is revolutionizing our technology.

We can already find graphene in batteries in drones, in touch screens, also in flexible ones, in headphones, in computer speakers, in motorcycles, in cars, in cameras, in hearing aids, etc. because curiously it has antibacterial properties, a material that has a layer of a single atom is very good, but in recent years they have discovered that by stacking several layers and giving certain twists to those layers you can get materials with different properties and in amazing occasions.

What the researchers did is stack five layers of graphene, resulting in a material with an unknown magnetism, they have called it multiferroic, in this the material shows an unconventional magnetism, with an exotic type of electronic behavior that the team has called Ferrovalleitrecity.

At the moment, the first application that has occurred to these engineers is that this new material is ideal for designing high-capacity data storage devices with ultra-low energy consumption, which could be ideal for classical computers and quantum computers. , so we can improve our data storage capacity.
