Actifit Report 050823: Zoo Day

So yesterday my sister and i packed some lunches and headed to the Cleveland zoo.

The Asian Lantern Festival is also currently running through September. At night they all light up and look really awesome.

Elephants

They were out today. Drinking, eating, looking massive... One of the older males died a couple weeks ago so they are probably still sad.

A Couple More Lanterns

The Gorilla
This was part of a big spider display, i bet really cool when lit up.

Headed to the wolf den because a worker overheard us and told us they were pretty active today. Headed to the den (the exhibit) and it appeared that the wolves also headed to their den (a den/burrow inside the actual exhibit). Couldn't see them at all... But the den itself is cool, it has a pond that is a barrier and one wall of the exhibit is all glass. You can see the fish and beaver in the water and the wolves on land past the pond. When they are out of course...

Then scooted past the

Grizzly Bear

Had some ice cream; saw some more lanterns
These were just randomly hanging about the seals. The real flamingos are by the elephants.

I'm not sure, just thought it was cool.

The Baby Orangutan

was rolling around in that plastic bin messing with his dad. Quite entertaining.

As you can see we had about 14k steps there so you know the kids were good and tired the rest of the day.
