My Actifit Report Card: March 28 2022
It is the second day working on Northgate's BTS (Base Transceiver Station), this was supposed to have been done when I worked on the project last year but due to the delay of BTS contain (picture below), we only started on the BTS installation yesterday.
I have all the cards (RRUs) installed, optic to RF pigtails are in, power from RF unit to optic, I am only left with grounding tomorrow with some labelling.
The BTS container that took 6 months to arrive, imported from China apparently...
This is what I have been up to and it continues tomorrow. Hope you all had a good start to the week.

New hardware for big center, lots of walking for sure. Looks neat and tidy, hope security is good.
Thanks Joan, the security is fairly good at Northgate unlike your Soweto and other areas that could be prone to braking in for battery theft.
I got a hint I might be coming down to Durban to do La Lucia mall, are you familiar with the mall? Is it a new mall? we will also be looking for accommodation down there...
Nowhere is safe, safety is normally implemented by site owner/management.
La Lucia mall I cannot remember visiting, it is not a new build situated on the North Coast a stones throw from Umhlanga.
Accommodation in Durban North may be expensive perhaps contact @lizelle who has a B&B slightly inland, then travel down daily for work. Depending on rates, distance and petrol price before coming down.
I was looking at La Lucia, I could tell it will be expensive down there. I will be in touch with @lizelle, many thanks for recommending her.
It was said I should be traveling down to La Lucia today 29th but the bosses are quiet, they still have to get themselves sorted out like always.
I was actually thinking it is closer to you so I can arrange for a day to have lunch with you since I will be there for ± a month.
We are down South in Toti/Warner Beach, only time I pass through North is going to St Lucia on a weekly break into bush.
They don't give you much time for planning, holiday makers are down at the moment so accommodation may be a problem. Lizelle works within the industry and would be in the know.
Wait and see what transpires once you get down here and settle 😃
