Joash's intro post
My Name is Muweesi Ashraf A skateboarder based in the pearl of Africa and a slummed town of kampala,
My life took a unique turn in 2019 when my family relocated to a new neighborhood. Little did i know that my new home is just a few steps away from a local skatepark,
And this would shape the tragectory of my future
Initially the sounds of wheels against concrete and the sight ofskaters performing impressive tricks, i was captivated by the energy and skill on display. The skatepark, a vibrant hub for the community, became my sanctuary. Despite facing the challenges of the surroundings, I was very determined to learn. With no formal training or guidance, and relied on sheer observation and trial and error to master the basics.
My perseverance paid off. And the passion for skateboarding grew as i spent countless hours practicing and practicing my skiils over time and later gained recognition while competing in local and national contests like EastAfrica skate gala,
National game of skate
To my surprise, I quickly found myself winning the competitions not only my technical ability but also my unique style that set me apart from other skaters.
Today, I continue to train, aiming higher with each competition, and am poised to make a name for myself in the global skateboarding scene
