What a topic to select, would never in a million years have thought about golf!
Starters St Andrews fairways we walked when over there what a pleasant walk with no golfers in sight!
Did you know a sign post I saw at a golf course one day said "Gents Only, Ladies Forbidden" now thought that up? 20th century joke!

Tickled my fancy since I don't play the game, enjoy walking the fairways though always well kept.
I can relate, @joanstewart, as the home my in-laws live in is on a private golf course with unforgettable views of the green from their living room and deck areas. Weather permitting, the grandkids enjoy riding on the golf cart when we have family gatherings there.
Sounds a peaceful place to live, there are a few similar here in private golf estates, very expensive to permanently stay.
