Survived Another Infinity Workout

Tuesday, September 10, 2024 - Infinity Signature Workout - 3G Format- 60 Minutes

The last time this signature workout was done was on April 8th.

It was an epic template, somewhat like a chipper workout, blending a power row benchmark with some of the favorite exercises from Dri-Tri—all packed into one. Every class followed the 3G format.

For those who started on the treadmill, the workout resembled a mini chipper. It began with a three-minute push followed by a one-minute base. Each subsequent push was reduced by 30 seconds, continuing until the final 90-second push. After that, there was a brief one-minute base, which led straight into a one-minute all-out effort.

The main event, especially for those targeting the benchmark, took place on the rower. The row monitor was set to 14 minutes, and once the coach gave the signal, participants launched into a 100-meter all-out row. Afterward, they hopped off the rower to complete 20 power jacks with a medicine ball. Once finished, it was back to the rower for another 100 meters, followed by 18 power jacks. This pattern continued, keeping the 100-meter row constant, while reducing the power jack reps by two each round. Upon reaching the round of two reps, participants reversed course and worked their way back up.

I burned under 693 calories, totaled 1.45 miles which was minimal because in a 3G format we are on the treads less time, along with the signature rowing block.

Today's Workout Recap

Row Block - 14 minutes

  • Reset monitor
  • Repeat until last minute:
    • 100 meter ALL OUT row
    • 20 x medicine ball power jacks
    • Each round take 2 off the rep count down to 2 reps and then back up again
  • 1 minute ALL OUT row
    • Record distance (I hit 2105 meters which was actually my second best personal record which surprised me a bit because lately I wasn't getting anywhere close to my personal best)
  • ALL BODY WEIGHT/NO DUMBBELLS

Floor Block - 14 minutes circuit

  • 40 x bench hop overs
  • 20 x bench tap squats
  • 20 each x full step ups
  • 20 x push ups
  • 20 x low plank jacks
  • 10 x burpees

Repeat until finisher:
Member’s choice of:

  • 1 minute of bench hop over OR
  • 1 minute of bench tap squat OR
  • 1 minute of full step up OR
  • 1 minute of push up OR
  • 1 minute of low plank jack OR
  • 1 minute of burpee

I chose the full step ups.

Tread Block

  • 3 minute push
  • 1 minute base
  • 2.5 minute push
  • 1 minute base
  • 2 minute push
  • 1 minute base
  • 90 second push
  • 1 minute base
  • 1 minute ALL OUT
