To Infinity and Then Some - My Actifit Report Card: March 8 2023

Today was a signature workout called Infinity that is centered around prepping for the upcoming Orangetheory Dri-Tri.
Unlike the last prep, which was the 2,000 meter row benchmark challenge this one had the floor work as the focus of the Infinity workout, although the rowing and the treadmill work was just as intense because it was a 3G format meaning the amount of time in each area was less and with a 3G, it's around 14 minutes in each area.
The actual Dri-Tri is a 2,000 meter row, 300 reps on the floor and then you run a 5K run to cap it off.
I've done it once, I've also done the relay, which is a team set-up where one person does the rowing , one the floor and one the treadmill, but I haven't done the sprint which is half of everything 1,000 meter row, 1500 floor reps and 1.5 mile run.
I have not decided to participate as I'm still on a comeback trail.
With that said, I PR's my Infinity meter rowed at 2,321 meters.
It was awesome to finally come away with a PR, much less trying to match until recently.
I've been an OTF member for over 9 years and had 7 solid years then two years where the workouts continued but my wife Tiffany and I struggled mightily through various ailments and injuries.
This year, I'm finally closer to CRUSH MODE status. It's been so gratifying and I never gave up even through those brutal years. Remained consistent. LIKE I DO WITH HIVE :-)
Important to note, I'm still not at 100% but I can confidently put myself in 90 to 95% status.
On to the workout:
ROWERS:
100 Meter Row and then start at 20 squat jack presses with a medicine ball
Repeat the row at 100 meters each time and reduce the jack presses rep count by 2 each time until you get down to 2 then work your way back up again.
This is where I got my personal record. I rowed 2,799 meters, but anything over the 2321 meters was warm up row meters.
FLOOR:
40 bench hop overs
20 bench tap squats
20 leg step ups, each side (40 total)
20 push ups
20 low plank jack
10 burpees
As many rounds as possible within 14 mins - I completed three rounds, putting me over the 300 reps at about 450 that would be part of the Dri-Tri, but keeping in mind that during a true Dri-Tri it's way more intense, more pressure, extra coaches watching your every rep, etc.
I focused much harder on the first two rounds, because knocking at 300 is the true Dri-Tri challenge but for today's signature workout I generated massive sweat equity and kicked ass.
TREADMILLS:
3 minute push
1 minute base
2 1/2 minunte push
1 minute base
2 minute push
1 minute base
90 second push
1 minute base
1 minute ALL OUT
At this point, I knew that my speeds was going to remain between 6 to 8 miles per hour. I wanted to get about 1.5 miles within the minimal time to work with and got the 1.5 around those 14 minutes with the extra three minutes being warm up.
My OTBEAT HEART RATE MONITOR RESULTS:
Burned 798 calories and 20 splats, which is an indication of the type of template it was this morning. I did not enter the red zone, so perhaps I could have gone evern harder but I have to be smart about not getting carried away and reinjuring myself unnecessarily.
ZONES:
Just like Tiffa and I did this morning, we will be working out at OTF Nona South with the 5am Crew and Coach Elise will be there again.
Tomorrow, should be a normal high intensity interval training session, which really means that our asses will still be kicked again lol.
