How Tiffany and I got through a 90 minute HIIT workout, six days into this year’s Hell Week series was beyond insane.

We’ve done plenty of 90 minute sessions in the many years as Orangetheory Fitness members, but not as many, since our COVID ordeal in March 2021 and the car accident this past May.

Today’s 90 minute workout was the first 90 minute since returning after three months rehabilitating on what was coincidentally two months from the day we started working out again or more so when we were cleared by the doctors.

The normal 60 minute session that we usually do 5 to 6 days a week is tough, but adding an extra thirty to the mix is badass and with the Hell Week series in the mix - MADNESS!

Today’s class was yet again at our home studio and we worked out for Tom “The Muscle Mouse” Stokes!

Tiffa and I repped the Hell Week shirt we earned in 2020.

On to the workout template of the day:

Usually, the template is broken down in two or three phases, but this was a 3G (3 groups of members), fast paced, switch managed “Confirmed Chaos” workout.

It just make sense to have it detailed in one set and descriptive breakdown, but just picture 3 groups of people going from station to station non-stop.

Personal stats for the morning.

I burned 1,329 calories
Burned 15 splats
Rowed 5,353 meters (only maxed out at 302 watts)
Ran 2.35 miles total in under 22 minutes of the running blocks.
My lowest speed was 6.4 miles per hour and my max was a 12 miles per hour on the the last All Out

• ⁠1 minute recovery

⁠•  ⁠30 seconds of burpees
⁠•  ⁠1 minute of a high plank hold
⁠•  ⁠45 seconds of alternating lunge jump with hops
⁠•  ⁠45 seconds of burpees
⁠•  ⁠1 minute of high plank holds
⁠•  ⁠30 seconds of alternating lunge jump with hops
⁠•  ⁠1 minute of burpees

My OTBEAT HEART RATE MONITOR RESULTS:

My OTBEAT results was a thing of beauty along with the rower and treadmill stats, it was a helluva workout!

My ActiFit results did not do justice to that workout not even close. It’s usually the other way around.

About Hell Week

Tomorrow on Day 7 we go back to the home studio, but we get to workout for Coach Arnoldo who had left Orangetheory for a while and his return has the members at OTF Nona North jazzed up and of course he is a fan of Team Jiffy as we are of his.
