If Ronaldo signs for Al-nassr does it mean no body in Europe wanted him?

As we are getting closer to January, we all know that we are going to see a lot of movements of players a whole lot of transfers are going to be done. Some players might extend their existing contracts, whiles other will look for different teams. Free agents will be looking to negotiate with different clubs. Speaking about free agents, according to a tweet I read on Twitter it seems that Cristiano Ronaldo would be moving to Saudi Arabia after all. I can’t help but ask the question, did he really have offers from other European teams?.

I don’t remember when it started exactly but my guess is when Manchester United were knocked into Europa league competition. It seemed Ronaldo was ready to move on. I kept track of his transfer because I’m a fan of what he does. Almost everyday I would read about him being rejected by European clubs like Bayern, Real Madrid, PSG and so on. It reach a stage he became a laughing stalk of the transfer market because teams that I have never heard of claimed to have rejected him.

Some renowned football journalist claimed he was even willing to lower his salaries just to play in Europe and the champions league. This went on a while until he decided to continue at United and play the Europa league. So it was mostly assumed because he didn’t get a European team to sign him that’s why he stayed. I taught it was so until I watched a pre game analysis’ where Roy kean said he knows for a fact that Ronaldo had offers from European teams that play champions league.

Piers Morgan also claimed Ronaldo has had offers form European clubs. But c’mon we all know how this dude would do anything to play in the champions league. If he had offers from the European teams why then is he now going to sign for a Saudi Arabian club? Or is the a general motif behind his signing. Because I know for sure if he had an offer from one of the big boys playing in the champions league he wouldn’t think twice but to sign for them. I still think it is just rumors no way Ronaldo will sign for a club that is not in Europe. I remember when he said he will retire with honor and won't end his career in the US, Qatar, or China. If the rumors are true that will just prove how egoistic he is.

It has just been confirmed some couple of minutes ago that he has signed. For me what this shows is that, he has accepted the fact that his football is finished. Even though I really wanted him to prove to the world he still has it in him, maybe no European club was willing to sign him. In the end, I wish my GOAT all the success in his new chapter.

Yeah all we can do right now is wish him the best. Who knows he might make a return to European football like ibrahimovic did.
