Met a sad mouse today. It was sick I think, because it was just sitting out in the open on a step, not really responding to movement around it (hence the ability to shoot the pic).

I was able to nudge it off the steps with a leaf so it didn’t get stepped on.

Probably wasn’t long for this world! Nature is rough sometimes.
