Usman knocks out Masvidal to retain UFC welterweight title
Kamaru Usman extended his unbeaten streak to 18 wins as he knocked out Jorge Masvidal in the second round of the UFC 261 to retain his welterweight title.
The bout which took place in Jacksonville, Florida and witnessed 15,000 fans was expected to be a tough rematch but it ended quickly than expected.
The first meeting between the pair happened last year at the UFC 251 with it ending via unanimous after five rounds.
Last night meeting fell beyond expectations as Masvidal happened to be no match for the champion after going down in just two rounds leaving Usman with his 4th successive title defence.
Usman's win now see him better his run to 18 wins, with 14 straight victories and an improved record of 19-1 in the UFC.
