Estoril Open: Norrie misses out on first ATP title set

British No 2 Cameron Norrie missed the opportunity to land his first ever ATP single title has he lost in the Estoril Open final to Albert Ramos-Vinolas.

The Spaniard saw off the Briton in a keenly contested final that ended 4-6 6-3 7-6 (7-3) making it Norrie second tour-level final loss.

The 25 year who got into the final after defeating former US open champion Marin Cilic, met an opponent who outclassed him.

Norrie run however in the year 2021 will see him move from top 50 into the top 20 after registering a total of 18 wins only bettered by Stefanos Tsitsipas and Andrey Rublev with 26.
