My Actifit Report Card: August 26, 2023
Yesterday I logged 8,553 steps on Actifit, roughly 1,500 steps short of my daily 10K step goal. I spent the day down at my parents house with Toby and Max the two Goldendoodles, as you can see in the photo above. They definitely liked each other, and act very similar to each other. Unfortunately when I was away, a predator managed to get into my duck coop back home. My poor baby Solana was swiped from the coop. My camera did not catch the predator but it was either a bobcat or a fox. I did not realize she was missing until this morning when I let the ducks out for food and water. It has been a solemn morning at the Jagoe household. Unlike most farmsteads that treat their birds like a utility tool for production, our flock is our family and it hurts to lose a member. I’ll be putting a fence up as soon as possible, including an electrified perimeter, and letting my dogs stay out as much as possible. I’ll also be sitting on my deck with a rifle a lot more often.
