Niceboy HIVE sport 2

I recently decided to replace my old running headphones. For a long time, I used the Forever BSH-100, which were the cheapest wireless headphones available at the time. But the price reflected the quality, the battery had capacity only about two hours, they kept falling out of my ears and overall, the design was shoddy. So, I decided to buy some new ones.

Nedávno jsem se rozhodl vyměnit moje stará sluchátka na běhání. Dlouho jsem používal Forever BSH-100, což byla ve své době nejlevnější dostupná bezdrátová sluchátka. Cena se ale odrážela v kvalitě, baterka vydržela jen asi dvě hodiny, pořád vypadávaly z uší a celkově byla jejich konstrukce odfláknutá. Rozhodl jsem se koupit si tedy nějaké nové.

After a longer selection, I chose the Niceboy HIVE sport 2 headphones at a price of about 27 EUR. The main requirement was that they should stay in my ears when running, and these headphones fulfilled it. They are designed so you can " hook" them behind your ear. Next, I needed something that I wouldn't lose, I was afraid that if I had normal wireless "pods" I would lose them sooner or later. Therefore, it suits me that the HIVE sport 2 are connected by a wire behind the neck, hence they are quite big (but light) and easy to find while always finding both halves.

Po delším vybírání jsem šáhl po sluchátkách Niceboy HIVE sport 2 v ceně asi 700 kč. Hlavním požadavkem bylo, aby mi držely v uších pří běhání, a to tato sluchátka splnila. Jsou totiž konstruována tak, aby si je člověk mohl „zaháknout“ za ucho. Dále jsem potřeboval něco, co neztratím, měl jsem strach, že kdybych měl normální bezdrátové „pecky“, tak dřív nebo později nějakou ztratím. Proto mi vyhovuje, že HIVE sport 2 jsou spojeny drátem za krkem, tudíž jsou docela velká (ale lehká) a dobře se mi hledají a zároveň vždy najdu obě poloviny.

I have been using them for about two weeks now and I have to say that I am very happy with them so far. What surprised me is the very long battery life. According to the manufacturer's declaration, the battery life should be up to 16 hours of operation and in my experience this roughly corresponds. Furthermore, I was impressed that the product is IPx5 certified, that is, water resistant, so you can use them without any worries even in the rain.

Zatím je používám asi dva týdny a musím říct, že jsem s nimi prozatím velmi spokojen. Co mě překvapilo je velmi dlouhá výdrž baterie. Dle deklarace výrobce by měla výdrž baterie být až 16 hodin provozu a podle mé zkušenosti to zhruba odpovídá. Dále mě zaujalo, že výrobek má certifikaci IPx5, to znamená odolnost proti vodě, takže je bez obav můžete používat i v dešti.

The control is located on the cable connecting the two headphones behind the neck. This allows you to easily switch between songs, adjust volume or pause playback without having to reach into your pockets for your phone. There is also a charging port, which is a microUSB type.

Ovládání je umístěno na šňůře, spojující obě sluchátka za krkem. Díky tomu můžete jednoduše přepínat jednotlivé písničky, ladit hlasitost nebo přehrávání pozastavit, aniž byste museli šahat do kapes pro telefon. V tomto místě je i port na nabíjení, kterým je microUSB.

The sound of the played music is in my opinion quite high quality, I am not an audiophile to be able to give any objective evaluation, but from the perspective of an amateur I would say that they sound good. The sound is clear, the bass is bassy and nothing rattles anywhere. The headphones also include a microphone so they can be used for hands-free communication. Although the microphone is probably too sensitive - when I was on the phone with them on the way down the street, my partner on the phone hear the noise from cars, trams and so on. But for talking on the phone in a quiet room, it's great.

Zvuk přehrávané hudby je dle mého poměrně kvalitní, nejsem žádný audiofil abych dokázal podat nějaké objektivní hodnocení, ale z pohledu amatéra bych řekl, že hrají dobře. Zvuk je čistý, basy basují a nikde nic nechrastí. Sluchátka obsahují i mikrofon, takže se dají využívat k handsfree komunikaci. I když mikrofon je asi moc citlivý – když jsem s nimi telefonoval cestou po ulici, tak druhá strana slyšela ruch od aut, tramvají a tak dále. Ale pro telefonování v tiché místnosti je to super.

In the two weeks that I have been using them I have come to the conclusion that I have made a good choice. For a few pennies I got headphones that are ideal for sports, but thanks to the long battery life they can also be used throughout the day, for example when riding public transport or so on.

Za ty dva týdny, co je používám jsem došel k závěru, že jsem si vybral dobře. Za pár korun jsem získal sluchátka, která jsou ideální na sport, ale díky dlouhé výdrži baterie se dají používat i během celého dne, například při jízdě v MHD a podobně.
