Trail walk in some fall color: October 8 2024

My husband and I went out on our favorite walk to the marina. It was a lovely evening, with deer munching grass alongside the trail, and the occasional knock knock knock sound of a woodpecker.

The trees are finally starting to turn colors. This first picture is from my neighborhood, because that was where I took a photo of the most brilliant tree.

Then we were off to the trail!

There was a lot of activity out on the trail, with walkers, runners and cyclists all enjoying the beautiful evening.

When we got to the marina, there were swallows flitting everywhere catching evening bugs. The last boats of the day were coming in for the evening, and the ones that were just waiting out on the water for their next excursion were lovely and picturesque.

As we prepared to leave for home, the sun was setting and it created a gorgeous evening light for my last few pictures.
