Evening at the park - Actifit: July 18 2022
I took my dog Zoey to the park at sunset. It was a very hot day, so I waited until it cooled to go walking. Even so it was a bit hot! But the park was beautiful.
The park is incredibly lush and green this time of year, and there are wildflowers blossoming everywhere.
Zoey loves to run on the trails, check out the other dogs and look for bunnies. There is something so fulfilling, and so soul fortifying about taking a dog on a walk, and enjoying all that excitement and exuberance.
It’s like having a child that never grows up. Although, the fact is, Zoey is 10 and a half, and she is slowing down a bit.
A bit after I took these pictures we ran into some friends and walked with them for a while. They also have a black dog the same size as Zoey. I wish I had gotten a picture of them running along together but it was too dark.

Nice time of day to enjoy a walk, weather up North has been excessively hot in some places.
Wish our dogs had a space to run free off leash, all the new rules has limited them so much. Yes running enjoying whatever tickles their fancy is far more fun, Joey is a good age for a larger dog.

Oh that's too bad there isn't a place for your dogs to run off leash, @joanstewart. Here we have off leash dog parks everywhere. (At least the U.S. does something right!) 😁
Relatively new rules here, no parks available, pet friendly places always hard to find. Makes me reflect on the fun times we had with all our earlier pets.
