Sublime and Beautiful Sunday - Mottled Winter Light - Actifit: February 13 2022
For those who have seasonal depression, it really can be hard to get through a long winter. Fortunately, I no longer have that problem, though I used to. Before I say this, I will provide the disclaimer that I am not a health professional or qualified to provide mental health guidance. That said, getting outside in nature and taking long walks are, I believe, excellent antidotes to seasonal affective disorder (SAD).
Being outdoors is uplifting. I believe that seeing the sky, getting exercise, and abiding being “cooped up” are good for mental health. I feel so awesome whenever I get out for a long walk.
I loved the mottled clouds in the sky on this particular day. For the next picture I panned out, which gave the picture a fish eye look.
The sun kept bursting through, making me feel hopeful for spring, and then it slid behind the clouds again.
I walked for a while through the marsh. I always love taking pictures of cattails.
Thank you very much for visiting my blog! And thanks to @ace108 for hosting #beautifulsunday, and to @c0ff33a for hosting #sublimesunday. It’s one of my favorite days of the week!

I envy people with a lot of time on their disposal, a camera in hand, living in lovely places for visiting and taking beautiful pictures.
But having said that, I myself love doing all this especially when the weather is very much cozy and pleasant in the range of 18-08 degrees Celsius. Your images are lovely and the area you live in is beautiful.
Thank you, @rayt2. I have no time on my hands. Ha ha ha! I have a very demanding full-time job, two writing communities, two book clubs, a house and property to care for plus a husband and three kids (mostly grown up), and I also read three books every month and I write fiction whenever I can fit it in. But I must get outside for fresh air and exercise, or I go crazy!
I do get a bit depress in winter when I was living in Kansas City.
It's funny, because when I used to get depressed in winter it was in places that were not anywhere near as cold as here in Minnesota. Once I moved here, I discovered that cold is not the problem! I just have to get outside every day.
