Happy Winter Solstice! Actifit: December 21 2021
My husband and I took a nice evening walk. There was a little bit of fresh snow from last night, which is always nice.
I love the winter solstice because it means the days will begin to get longer again. It’s a great feeling. Just as we are settling in for a long winter, it starts to be light for a little longer each day.
The light was fading, and I was only able to get a few pictures. That is the trouble with these short days. I had to get out to the park before my work day was done, or I would have been walking in the dark.
What’s more, the day had been gorgeous, and I wanted to get out walking in the bright sunshine which is so uplifting when there is fresh snow! But my work day was too busy.
But I love the evening light too!
I also grabbed a few pictures of bridge railings over frozen creeks.

I've always dreamed of a White Christmas. Did you make any Snow Angels? Or you've done that way too many times and now it's a bit old fashioned?
Ha ha, people still make snow angels, but not usually people my age. I still see children doing it!
Good to see some snow. We (in and around/near Szolnok, Hungary) still do not have snow, just/only the cold. The temperature is currently -8 °C.

the scenery is very pleasant .. in our place there are only 2 seasons, namely the rainy season and dry season. how happy my heart would be if it was snowing in my place.. so happy! but... there are only rainy and dry seasons
I have lived in places where there are only two seasons, and it is not enough for me. I need the leaves to change colors in the fall, the snow to come down in the winter, the flowers to burst out of the ground in the spring, and the summers to be pleasantly hot for sitting on the beach. :-)
Yes, you are right. I am very curious about snow. pray for me that I can vacation in Europe. I really want to enjoy the snow

Where I live the sun goes down before the end of my work day this time of year. It is dark at 4:30.

Oh that looks so good, to hear the crunch of snow underfoot on the shortest day of the year, now looking forward to longer days for you.
We have rain and it appears rain through the next couple of days, will have to watch forecast with how to arrange Christmas which is normally something we do outdoors in the warm summer.
